Good helpful words from one of our outstanding network pilots Merritt Drone Solutions 🚁

“As drone pet recovery is becoming more and more popular so are scams. Here are a few red flags to look for to determine the legitimacy of the company:

* What is their social media presence, most have pages that come with reviews.
* What questions does the company ask? The more detailed the questions the better. Questions should include, how long the pet has been missing, pets age and medical issues, pets temperament, pets history of run offs.
* They ask for a deposit. Most companies don’t ask for payment until the search is over.
* They don’t want you to be a part of the search. Many pilots will let you watch as they search and ALL should discuss their search plans prior to the search. And at the very least they will meet up with you prior to the search as the search will always start at the area where the pet went missing.

The best way to ensure that you are getting a trusted pilot is to utilize the Drone Animal Rescue app which includes a map of vetted drone pilots.”

But he was ALIVE.
