Emerald Hill Farm, a private hunter/jumper equestrian center, just outside of Greenville, NC is looking for qualified people to fill part time openings on our barn staff. We offer competitive pay and are close to ECU. Recent horse experience is required.
Job includes feeding, turnout, blanketing, cleaning stalls, general horse care, and other routine barn chores. Reliable transportation required. Applicant must be reliable, responsible, and able to work well with horses of varied ages and training levels. Position does not include any riding or training opportunities.

Emerald Hill Farm is hiring a barn manager / groom for our private 8 stall hunter jumper barn in Greenville NC. This is a live in position, no travel. Flexible on full or part time for the right candidate.

Duties include:
feeding, turn in /out, blanketing, cleaning stalls, dragging ring, general horse care, night check, and other routine barn chores.

Housing: Above barn studio apartment with utilities, tv, internet, washer/dryer included

Offering competitive pay based on experience. References required. Must have horse experience. Position does not include any riding or training duties.

Emerald Hill Farm would like to congratulate our High School Seniors that will be moving on to college.
Anna Fountain has had an amazing last few years with her horse Conquest. She is currently qualified for Junior Hunter Finals and was last year’s champion in Children’s Hunters at Zone Finals (Zone 3). Conquest is available.
Ruth Exum is currently qualified for all the bigeq finals and is currently leading the EJ Haun points for Zone 3. To cap it off, Ruth and Anna swept the top two spots in the recent Triangle Farms National Derby.
Annaclaire Hudson has brought her Mare, Cassoulet, from a green four year old to winning Zone Finals this past year. It takes a lot of work and talent to bring a baby horse to that level…AC is a master at it. Cassoulet is also available.
Anna will be attending Alabama (Roll Tide!), Ruth will be attending Auburn (Go Tigers!) and Annaclaire will be attending ECU Honors College (Go Pirates!).
With these seniors moving on to college, Emerald Hill Farm has a few openings for show borders or training board. Our show boarders take part in our lesson program and can join our other show boarders at A and AA rated shows in zones three and four, WEF and other major shows such as Devon, Pony Finals, Green Finals, and Indoor Finals. We offer all types of training board, but specialize in bringing along young hunters, enhancing a show record for sale horses and establishing a lead change on horses that don’t have them naturally.
Emerald Hill Farm is a gorgeous facility in Fountain NC. It is convenient to East Carolina University (15 min) and other major businesses in Greenville NC.

Catching up on our April show at Tryon Welcome 4. We had a fun week with a great group of clients.

Christy Burns and Debonair were Reserve Champion in the 3’ Green Hunters. Debonair and Ashley Eatmon also won a class in the low adults.

Michelle Minges and Just Chance had a great week during their first time at Tryon. They received good ribbons in a competitive group of low adults.

Anna Fountain and Conquest were Reserve Champion in the older 3’3 junior hunters, qualifying them for junior hunter finals!

Ruth Exum had a great weekend in the Equitation. She won the EJ Haun Memorial Medal and the USHJA Jump Seat Medal. She was 2nd in the Dover Saddlery Medal, the WIHS Jump Seat, and the NCEA Medal, and was 3rd in the Maclay.

Kayla Edwards and Isle Royal stepped into the 3 ft together for the first time, putting in some nice rounds and getting good ribbons

Congratulations to all our horses and riders at the March Raleigh Indoors Spring Classic.
Special congratulations to Ruth Exum and Anna Fountain on their 1st and 2nd place finish in the USHJA National Hunter Derby!

EHF started the 2025 show season with a BANG in Wellington during weeks 7 and 8.

Ashley Eatmon and Debonair debuted in the low adult hunters getting some good ribbons including scoring an 86 in one of their over fences. Debonair also got some great ribbons with Christy Burns in the USHJA Hunter division.

Ashley rode Diego to top ribbons in the low adults during week 7 and in the 2’9” adults in week 8 including a win over fences in week 8. A shout out to Meagan Bennett for always having the perfect horse for lease or purchase.

Anna Fountain and Conquest got top ribbons in a very large and competitive older children’s hunter division in Week 7 and moved up to the 3’3” juniors during week 8 getting some good ribbons in the Junior Hunters as well.

Anna also showed Ricardo to some good ribbons in the 3’3” juniors and equitation weeks 7 and 8. A thank you to Katie Strandberg Estes for sharing such a nice horse with us.

Congratulations to our own Christy Burns on being named the Leading Hunter Rider over the two weeks of the Jump for the Children Duke Benefit Show. She also piloted Cannon Padgett’s Mr. Perfectly Fine to Grand Champion honors in the 3’ Green Hunters. We are so lucky to have you and appreciate all your hard work and dedication to the horses and clients.
