Meet Our Team:

🐾 Megan – Love of Dog Pet Nutrition and Training
A lifelong animal lover with 7 years of experience working with dogs and 3 years as a trainer. Specializing in positive reinforcement training, cooperative care, and pet nutrition, Megan is passionate about helping pets live their healthiest lives. She and her husband share their home with Leila the Australian Cattle Dog, Sssally and Sssylvia the Ball Pythons, and a Betta fish named Noob.

🐾 Kennedi – Pawsitive Dog Training
With a B.S. in Wildlife Management and extensive credentials including CPDT-KA, Fear Free Certification, APDT & PPG membership, and AKC CGC Evaluator, Kennedi has been training dogs for 8 years. She specializes in puppy training, enrichment, and positive reinforcement methods. She shares her home with 5 dogs, 2 guinea pigs, 1 cat, and a fish tank full of personality!

🐾 Kate – Bishop’s Mission, Human and Animal Emergency Lifeline Preparedness (H.E.L.P.), Balanced Paws
A former police officer turned dog groomer and therapy dog handler, Kate is dedicated to helping first responders through peer support services with her Dalmatians, Bishop and Skye. She also offers pet first aid and CPR training through H.E.L.P.

Bishop was honored to have been asked to help try out this new delicious recipe for the gelatin food ball. Basic Obedience: Sit, Stay, Come, and more!
Leash Training: Mastering the walk without the pull.

New Group Classes are starting February 10 at Balanced Paws! Each class is 6 weeks long and costs $150. That is just $25 a class!

Who is Bishop?! For those that have been greeted by him... who is Bishop and why is he always with me?!
Bishop is service trained to help me with tasks, here is one example of him helping out. There are many more things he is responsible for, and each day we work together to hone in on the skills even more.

Bishop also works with me when we teach pet cpr/first aid classes and is a favorite when we help with peer support with First Responders

He has a lot of jobs, but loves working. Typically shop time is rest time (as he snuggles in the small bed) 😊 You can follow more on Bishop on our Human & Animal Emergency Lifeline Preparedness page or Instagram.

At Balanced Paws, I will always keep your pets safety as a #1 priority. In recent news concerning the canine outbreak, I have been following to set up the best protocol to keep your pets safe.
Grooming services are always one on one, with less dogs in the salon at one time. When there are dogs coming in, multiple family dogs or dogs waiting to go home, separate playpen areas are used to keep dogs from interacting.
As always, disinfectant is used in between each dog groom, in the areas dogs have occupied and grooming tools. This protocol never changes, but will be used more aggressively during the outbreak.
We ask if your dog is displaying any symptoms, please reschedule your appointment. The holidays are upon us, Let's work together to help keep our dogs safe and enjoy our holiday season!
