I know you thought that one day I would grow up and get a real job. But instead I decided to double down and start an annual city wide music festival.

It's been a rough three years for our local musicians.

Money is getting tight and everyone is trying to adjust (including myself). In this transition, we are at risk of losing one of the best things about Fort Worth. With more and more locally owned businesses closing down every week, our local musicians are trying to keep the scene alive with fewer stages to perform from.

So lets have some fun and keep Panther City vibrant with music, culture, and commerce!!!

Did I say all that right? Meh, I'll try again tomorrow. Look. I don't just need help with grammar and sentence structure. I got to get you out to see my friends play live music on a stage at an excellent Fort Worth establishment. So hey help me out. Pick a date!!!! We have a bunch of dates and locations for you to choose. So pick the ones that work for you and then IMMEDIATELY put it on your schedule. It's not for me. It's for the local business, our bands, and the Fort Worth vibe as an entire experience.

This years Fort Worth Roots Podcast big annual event is benefiting Cook Children's and we hope you can come hang out with us. However, if you can not make it to the party you can still help us make an impact by making a contribution.

September 23rd starting at 11am we will be out at Pouring Glory with a vendor market, goody bags at the door, 4 live bands ( Itchy Richie and the Burnin' Sensations , Late to the Station , Cassandra May Lorance , and Jaybirds ), and a live podcast recording. We are also busy trying to cook up a few more surprises to make this year even better than last year's event.

A portion of the food sales will go straight to the charity so show up hungry. Poring Glory has some really excellent food.
