Good Neighbors Animal Rescue Keeping Pets Out of Shelters in Texas by Promoting Fostering, Spaying & Neutering, Vaccinating, Resp MOST IMPORTANTLY spaying and neutering to STOP the cycle.

Prevention is the best medicine by spaying and neutering to solve the Pet Overpopulation problem in Texas. GNAR volunteers scoop up litters of stray kittens, pregnant mommas, stray dogs, orphans, and ferals, bring them to foster homes and to vet clinics, and makes them healthy, adoptable pets or TNR. This keeps hundreds to thousands of animals from entering Texas shelters where they have a high ch

Linzy has decided to open her heart and home to Zoey. She and her teenage children are super excited to add her to their family. Besides letting her run free in their backyard and playing daily with her, there are many walks in store for Zoey.
We are happy to know there is so much love and care waiting for her. Without a doubt, sweet Zoey will reciprocate twice as much love to them! We see many doggy kisses in their future! 💓

Independent. Curious. Fearless. Playful and ready for action! The only thing she gets more excited about other than your love is a can of food! She has automatic signal to come running when that can opener makes that first tin crack!
Brooklyn and her boyfriend are so excited that they have added her to their fur family! They know that they already love her so much and are looking forward to caring for her.

We are excited for Crayola’s future with her “EXTRA cat parents who over the top with thier babies”! Emily and Thomas have been anxiously awaiting to join their current whisker baby, Jelly Bean, to her new sibling and best buddy.
Crayola will be spending her days playing and sharing toys countless hours with Jelly Bean. They will both be going for walks in their kitty stroller. Rest assure Crayola will be receiving endless head/back rubs and kisses from her new parents and sister cat!
We cannot wait to see the updated pic of these two frolicking around or napping together.

Adoption Announcement:
Lucky Korkie has been living it up in his new home with his adopted family! Aside from spending lots of time with them, he has been getting lots of love & care from his now dad, Eric and grandma (Eric’s mom). Korkie has also already been on lots of trips with the Nike team.
We are truly happy for the. Whole family, but especially for Korkie because he is well taken care of and living a doggy’s life to the fullest!

Kazz is happy, sweet, obedient and well-socialized and doesn't have any bad habits, even for his young age. He is a gentle old soul who lovingly greets everyone, both two-legged and four-legged soon to be friends. He adapts easily and tries to quickly follow rules.
Jason, Deborah, their teenage son and two cats are ready to bring Kazz home! They had a sweet dog of their own named Rokhea. Unfortunately, he was very ill and passed away. Throughout the five years they had him, they were very dedicated to Rokhea to make sure he lived the happiest life he could live and got the best medical treatment possible. They loved him dearly, and in the same way, plan to love Kazz.

Big family, big yard and even bigger heart ready to love a new dog!💗
Erika and Joshua, along with her mother and three children, are so excited about starting this chapter in their lives alongside with Xanadu! They can’t wait to see her running around and playing with her in their huge backyard. 🤗
Xanadu was found as a stray in a neighborhood between 45 North and the Hardy Toll Road in Houston. She was in rough shape with bald patches, rashes, thin coat and skinny. She hung around and slept on her finders front porch for a week until GNAR volunteers could find her a foster home placement and now a forever home!🐕‍🦺
Xanadu is so sweet, gentle and well behaved! She genuinely gets along with everyone and all other dogs. She is polite, patient, trusting and loves being around people. She doesnt make any waves except maybe when she sees a squirrel in the backyard! She will love being outside, as well as curling up on the couch. Though she doesn't demand much attention or anyone to constantly watch over her, she will truly appreciate someone from her new family always being around!
Let the happy memories begin! 💫

Rumil, the smart and handsome kitty formerly known as “Flamingo”, has a new home!
Congratulations and many thanks to Luciano for opening his heart and home to Rumil. He drove all the way from Port Arthur to pick him up! He is a kind, responsible and caring pet owner whose goal is to bond with Rumil and provide a safe and loving forever home. Rumil has settled right in and is enjoying himself already.
