🐣 🐔CUSTOM CHICKEN COOP – 4x8 Mammoth Edition

We’d been getting this question a lot lately...
“Hey, do y’all build chicken coops?”
Answer: YES WE DO.
We just hadn’t had a client that went for it — until now.

This 4x8 Mammoth Edition is more than just looks.
It’s solid, functional, clean — built to last. Straight-up DFW quality.

✅ Built with intention:
• 4 ft wall height + 12° pitch roof = 6 ft total height
• Ridge vent for clean airflow
• Triple nesting box — with a 10° tilt so eggs roll straight to the front window, no cracking
• Double roosting bars — so the hens can chill comfortably
• Dutch-style front door — opens top and bottom
• Polycarbonate windows on both sides — strong and weather-resistant
• Run-Chicken automatic door — Wi-Fi controlled from your phone
• And that custom paint? Client picked a 🔥 color combo — clean, bold, and different.

No insulation — but it’s set up under good shade 🌳, so it stays cool.
And since there’s no A/C or heater, we also built a smaller version to keep in the garage when the weather gets too crazy.

Because the front of the dog house is slightly higher (we leveled it), we built a custom ramp using pressure-treated 2x4 /deck boards and concrete blocks on the bottom — simple, functional, and built to last.

Today makes 5 years since I built the very first DFW Dog House… and I never imagined it would turn into what it is now.

These custom dog mansions now get delivered all over Texas — San Antonio, Houston, Lubbock, El Paso — and even picked up by amazing customers from Oklahoma, Louisiana, and New Mexico.

What started as weekend builds in my backyard has grown into a full-time business I’m truly proud of.

Over the years, we’ve built homes not just for dogs, but also for pigs, cats, goats, and even tortoises — if it’s a pet, we’ll build it a house.

To every single customer who trusted me with their build, shared my work, referred me, or even just liked a post — thank you.
