Happy Birthday Bruce! 🥳🐾

It's a and we had a very special birthday visitor today!

Bruce the Great Dane was adopted from Humane Fort Wayne as a puppy when he weighed just 18 pounds. Now, over 120 lbs later, Bruce is all grown up and living his best life with his family!

We love seeing our former shelter pets grow up, celebrate milestones, and get spoiled by the families who love them! 🖤

💔 141 DAYS. That’s how long Frieda has been waiting for someone to take her home.

And she’s starting to lose hope. 🥺

Meet Frieda, a 7-year-old, 87-pound Belgian Tervuren/Shepherd mix who has SO much love and energy to give!

She loves her ball, outdoor adventures, jumping over logs, and getting attention from her favorite people. But this big girl needs the right home.

Frieda needs:
🐾 To be your only dog
🐾 Older kids
🐾 An experienced, consistent handler (Shepherd experience is a plus!)
🐾 Plenty of exercise, enrichment and structure
🐾 A family who is home often to help with her separation anxiety
🐾 Ideally, a fenced-in yard!

Frieda can be a lot of dog, but with the right person, she has so much potential. She deserves a home where she can finally decompress, feel safe and be loved.

Please don’t let Frieda spend another day waiting. SHARE THIS VIDEO. Her person could be scrolling right now. 🧡

✨November Spotlight: Karen P!✨

This month, we're celebrating Karen and her four years of volunteering with us! Since getting started in 2022, she's been sharing her love for animals through Tails on Trails, holiday Rovernights, and as part of our PetSmart Feline team.

One of her favorite experiences was participating in our Grand-PAWs program, bringing smiles to residents and staff at The Waters through visits with furry friends.

Karen also serves as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) in Allen County and has found special opportunities to bring older children from her CASA cases along to help social cats at PetSmart. It's a wonderful way to connect with them through their shared love of animals!

Thank you, Karen, and all of our amazing volunteers, for your compassion, dedication, and the difference you make in our community. We are so lucky to have you on our volunteer team! 🩵🐾
