Christmas is over, and Zero didn’t get what he wanted: a home. 💔

This handsome 7-year-old Treeing Walker Coonhound has sadly been waiting 144 days for his happy ending. While so many dogs have been adopted recently, Zero has watched families come and go… and stayed behind. 🥺

Zero is truly an amazing dog. He loves people, does great in the car, and is a loyal, adventurous companion who enjoys walks, exploring, and putting that incredible hound nose to work. In fact, he’s a Tails on Trails rockstar, and our volunteers have been keeping his spirits high by taking him on many outings!

Zero is smart, affectionate, and thrives with structure and an active routine. And then there’s the sound he’s famous for. Zero doesn’t bark—oh no. He has a signature bay that sounds like a kazoo arguing with a goose while a car struggles to start. It’s hilarious and absolutely unforgettable!

Zero would do best in an active home without cats and with a committed adopter who can provide consistent mealtimes and clear boundaries, as he can be a bit protective of his food. All resident dogs and children must come meet him!

Thanks to a generous donor, Zero’s adoption fee is $0! All he needs now is someone to choose him. 🥹

UPDATE: All four were adopted!! ❤️

Bring on the Pawliday Cheer! And get ready for some big paws! ✨🐾

Meet Cheer, Star, Crystal, and Jolly! These Great Dane/Mastiff mix puppies will finally be available for adoption on Christmas Eve! 🎄

These sweet pups are 3 months old and will be available 12/24 when we open!
Please note: Our shelter will be open 11 AM–4 PM on 12/24 & closed 12/25.

‼️ Important adoption details:
• Adoptions are first come, first served for PRE-APPROVED adopters.
• We recommend arriving early.
• The first person in line will be able to meet and choose from the puppies first.
• All adults in the home should be present.

Puppies have a $200 adoption fee and all of our pups come already spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, microchipped, and even go home with a starter bag of food! Please remember, these dogs will likely grow to be around 120 lbs!

🦖 This is not a drill! A baby dinosaur is available for adoption! 🦖

Birdie may look precious but he truly is a tiny velociprator disguised as a puppy! This 2-month-old Dutch Shepherd mix puppy is a high-energy, intelligent puppy with a big personality and an even bigger drive to work.

He’s active, mouthy, and always on the go—traits that suggest he may have been a police K9 in another life!

Birdie thrives when he has a purpose and would do best in a home that understands the needs of an active, driven, working-minded dog.

Birdie is not your regular puppy. This busy boy is looking for an experienced adopter who can provide consistent structure, mental stimulation, and appropriate outlets for his energy. Training, enrichment activities, and a “job” to focus on will help Birdie shine and become the incredible companion he’s meant to be.

If you’re seeking a motivated, enthusiastic pup who’s ready to learn and work alongside you, Birdie may be the perfect match.

Birdie gets along with dogs but a meet 'n greet is recommended. Due to his mouthy tendencies, teens and up would be best for this guy. Our staff will review adopters to make sure he goes to a family that can meet his needs.
