You grew old while I grew up and I never noticed the difference
until I was there when you took your last steps and remembered you were there when I took my first.
Time may have turned your face grey and it made mine older too
but love stayed young between us.
Thank you for waiting for me to be strong enough to say goodbye.
What a beautiful journey we had, you'll always be my best friend.

The bond Bug and Roo had was something I think about often. Bug was born when Roo was young. They truly were best friends.
