Teddy took a trip to Household 5 Soaps today to sniff around. At first he was very uncomfortable and unsure, but he quickly regained his confidence and was able to even do some commands like sit, down, and come while we were inside!

Teddy (on top of being one of the most dramatic dogs I’ve ever worked with 😅😂) is having an off day. Meaning he doesn’t really want to work or listen, and that he wants to play in the grass or lay around instead. So he’s been jumping more than usual, breaking his commands early, and throwing temper tantrums. But we don’t let that stop us. Despite all of this, watch him work through his puppy attitude and run his commands on the 15 foot long line outside!

Teddy and his new come command! Also working on sit and place indoor with distractions. The tennis ball was pretty difficult for him but he worked through it. In the end, you can see I laid food out as a reward and then twice gave him a command asking him to stop eating. This isn’t easy for him to do, and yet he did it! You’re a star Teddy Bear 🤩

Teddy outside today working on distractions! Being outside working commands instead of inside already increases the distraction level, birds, smells, kids practicing sports in the field behind the houses. I also added distractions myself with food, voices/noises/cooing, and changing my body language. Teddy did so good!

It’s been busy in the training center, please excuse my delay on posting. This video is of Teddy and what he’s been working on. His loose leash walking is improving. He does pull but corrects quickly. He is no longer tripping me and weaving between my legs. He’s doing his sit command like a champ, already allowing for me to take a step back and around. Teddy has begun to place too which he enjoys! Lastly, his manners at the door and ability to stay seated until released to go outside. Way to go Teddy!
