The fence at medium dog park at Twining Valley Park has been repaired and the enclosure is now open.

UPDATE - As of yesterday afternoon, the access issues have been resolved at both the small and medium dog parks. The medium dog park will remain closed due to storm-related fence damage. We are working with a contractor to make the repair.

UPDATE - As of yesterday afternoon, the access issues have been resolved at both the small and medium dog parks. The medium dog park will remain closed due to fence damage. We are working with a contractor to make the repair.

Due to Thursday’s storm, access to the small and medium dog park has been compromised. We are working to resolve the issue as soon as possible and have contacted our contractor to schedule a repair. Access to the large dog park is still available. As a reminder, small and medium dog park fob holders also have access to the large dog park.

In addition to the access issue, the medium dog park experienced fence damage, which prevents use of the enclosure until it is resolved. A contractor has also been contacted to address this.

Updates regarding access being reinstated and the medium dog park fence repair will be communicated through email and our social media page.

Thank you for your understanding. We hope those of you affected by the storm are safe and quickly regaining power.

The medium dog park is currently CLOSED due to a fallen tree.

Staff is aware of a downed tree in the medium dog park at Twining Valley Park. At this time, the medium dog park will be closed - medium dog park users can go to the large dog park.

Parks Division staff will clean up the tree debris on Monday.

The Twining Valley Large Dog Park was re-opened this morning. The enclosure will be closed for a period of time again later this week for completion of the project – we are awaiting a timeline from the contractor, but it could be as early as this Wednesday. We anticipate this second closure to be hours, not days.

Another email will be sent once we hear back from the contractor.

Thank you for your patience – we hope the shade structure will be appreciated as the temperatures begin to rise this summer.

The Twining Valley Large Dog Park will be closed on Monday, June 2 beginning at 7:00am for the first phase of the installation of a shade structure. There will be no access to the Large Dog Park while work is being completed. An email will be sent out (and a posting will be made here) when the Large Dog Park has re-opened - we hope for that to occur by Tuesday. Large Dog Park members are welcome to utilize the trail system with their leashed dogs.

The second and final phase should occur this week (weather-dependent). Another email will be sent out when the date for the second phase has been determined.
