Hefty was found at the dump and saved from a terrible fate. From the start, he’s been nothing but love — the cat who greets everyone like family and plays the role of fun uncle to every kitten that comes through our doors. He’s brought joy to volunteers, fosters, and visitors alike, and we knew in our hearts he belonged here forever.

✨ That’s why Hefty is now a permanent resident and official Mascat of JKR ✨

But Hefty’s care — along with all of our permanent residents and rescue cats — depends on community support. Today we’re launching:

Meet Edward. I don’t know much about him yet other than he needs us. He is nervous this morning so I didn’t get a picture of him “angry” bottom. The sweet girl who surrendered him said he had had some re**al bleeding and was fearful he would pass without a vet. So, I am typing this as I stand in line at the vet. Can you help Edward?

🎉🐾 Celebrating Bob’s Retirement 🐾🎉

Many of you know and love Bob, our longtime official Mascat of Jen’s Kitty Rehab. A couple of months ago, Bob moved into a foster home after developing some health complications that require daily monitoring. While we are still waiting on further test results, one thing has become very clear—Bob is thriving in a home environment.

Because of this, we’ve made the heartfelt decision to let Bob officially retire from his duties at JKR. He has given so much love and joy to everyone who walked through our doors, and now it’s his turn to be spoiled. 💙

We are asking for your support as we cover the cost of Bob’s ongoing vet care and upcoming testing. Any donation, big or small, helps us give Bob the comfortable retirement he deserves while also allowing us to keep helping the many cats still in our care.

🐾 Help Miss Kitty! 🐾

Quick Discounts’ store cat, Miss Kitty, had her vet visit today thanks to JKR. She’s treated for ear mites, fleas, updated on vaccines, and even got a little nail trim! 💜

The vet says she’ll need a dental cleaning soon to keep her teeth healthy. We’d love your help covering her care so this sweet girl can keep greeting everyone with a smile.
