🐾 The Truth About “Hypoallergenic” Dogs 🐾

You’ve probably heard the term “hypoallergenic” when it comes to dog breeds — but did you know only two breeds are truly low-shedding due to their coat type?

✨ Bichons and Poodles have a special kind of single coat with hair that grows continuously (like ours!) — no fluffy undercoat to blow out, so shed hair is minimal and stays in the coat until brushed out.

Most other breeds marketed as “low” or “no” shed — including many popular Doodle mixes — actually have a combination coat. They still shed an undercoat, but the loose hair often gets caught in curls or waves. This makes it look like they don’t shed, but without regular brushing, those hairs turn into mats.

💡 Tip: Even the lowest-shedding dogs need regular grooming to keep their coat healthy and tangle-free. “Hypoallergenic” doesn’t mean “no maintenance”!

We just landed in Las Vegas for something BIG… SUPERZOO 2025 starts tomorrow!

If you’ve never heard of it, SuperZoo is the largest pet industry trade show in North America — think Disneyland for pet lovers! 🐕🐾 It’s where groomers, trainers, pet care pros, and pet brands from all over the world gather to see the newest products, learn the latest techniques, and bring fresh ideas home to their clients (and their pets!).

We’re here to discover amazing new tools, top-tier grooming innovations, and exciting goodies so we can make Pawsi even better for YOU and your pets. 💛
