🇺🇸 Happy Fourth of July from Rugged River Retrievers! 🇺🇸

Today we celebrate the freedoms we enjoy and remember those who have sacrificed to protect them. We hope everyone has a safe, fun, and memorable Independence Day with family, friends, and their four-legged hunting partners.

As you celebrate, please remember your dogs. Fireworks can be overwhelming, even for confident gun dogs. Please don’t bring your dogs to fireworks shows. Loud, unpredictable explosions are very different from controlled gunfire in training and can create unnecessary fear or anxiety. Keep them indoors in a secure, comfortable place, and make sure their ID tags and microchip information are up to date in case they get startled and run.

Have a safe holiday, enjoy the time outdoors, and we’ll see you in the marsh this fall.
