🎄💔 The holidays are here, and I’m still waiting for my special someone…

My name is Reena. I’m just two years old, and I’ve been hoping for a home for over a year and a half. I dream of a place where I can be the center of attention, with lots of love, playtime, and walks. Right now, I’m stuck in a kennel, still without a family to call my own.

I’m such a good girl... I promise! I’m smart and learn quickly. I absolutely adore splashing in water and running around in the shelter play yards. I love meeting everyone, but I would truly thrive as the only pet in a home where I can get all the love and attention I deserve.

This year, my wish is simple… a family to finally call my own. Could you make this holiday my very first with a loving home? Please give me a chance at either foster or adoption. I promise, you won't regret it!

If anyone is wanting to do something nice in the spirit of the holiday season or just because why not please consider helping out an amazing local rescue There are plenty of ways you can help but a super easy one would be if anyone has any extra dog beds in good condition or wants to just get a new I am trying to collect some to make a trip out there to deliver the ones i have so far. Or you can reach out to them directly and see if they have an Amazon wish list! They all have been good boys and girls this year and deserve a visit from Santa! Two of my dogs came from them and you couldn’t ask for better dogs! Thank you and happy holidays everyone!

The severity of mats. Mats are more than just a tangle in your dogs coat. A lot of people are unaware just how detrimental a mat is. Here is some knowledge on mats that will be quite the eye opener.
1. Mats pull on the skin.
2. They harbor bacteria, dead skin, debri and can smell.
3. They can create sores and wounds underneath.
4. Mats in the paw pads or armpits can change your dogs gait.
5. They are painful just existing. Creates bad blood circulation and can cause the blood to rush back to that area when removed. Hematomas. Bruising.

Removing mats:
1. Removing mats by brushing them out takes ALOT of time. And therefore costs more money.
2. Brushing them out still damages that hair.
3. Cutting them out can be dangerous especially if done by a non professional and will leave holes in the coat.
4. Clipping them out is still a lot of time, stressful and painful as the mats are pulled and tugged. It takes a very close (short) cut to get underneath mats to get them out. About 1/4 inch of coat will be left or bald spots.
5. When your dog needs the groomer to remove mats they are not set up for success. It is far more difficult to remain calm, comfortable and cooperative

I got to spend the day with these two yesterday, and I already was a sucker for Benji before grooming him because of being part Chihuahua

He literally had me crying because he was so happy and content just to rub his head in my hand

He really just does need a lap to come home too

Amigo and i spent the day at preparing the puppers for their event this Saturday in Indiantown. You can look on their page for event details or I will post details as well. But I was doing this post to ask if anyone has any dog beds that are in good condition and they would like to donate. They could always use them! Big, medium, or small! This little girl absolutely loved her luxury bed! I will be going to the event on Saturday if anyone wants to send some dog beds along with me or anything else that the rescue needs just hit me up and I would be glad to take it with me!

This is completely unrelated to grooming, but most of my clients know the trauma. I’m going through with my child right now.
Trying to fight the family court with no lawyer and an ex who has repeatedly said he just wants to see me pay

He has taken her cell phone from her so that me and her sister cannot communicate with her

He is controlling the situation, giving me one hour to call his phone to talk to her and does not answer during that time or tonight disconnected the call after not even one minute so I did not even get to tell my child. I love her or good night.

I have not seen her since Friday and will not see her till next Friday. This is the longest she has ever been away from me or her dogs so she literally has been completely cut off from everything she knows.

He removed her from her school that she was going to, and did not even tell me

I just don’t know what I’m supposed to do at this point

I have tried to reason with him, and he is completely hell bent  on revenge and nothing more

If anyone has any resources for me, please, I am begging you

Legal resources, domestic violence groups, children’s rights anything. I will not fail my daughter, and I will not stop, but this is literally breaking my heart and it’s making that I can barely even work because I’m fighting a battle all on my own

Officially fully embracing being the Chihuahua owning spinster i always said id be. Amigo knows the signs of when we are gonna leave and waits at the door till it’s opened. Other dogs don’t even see him run out, my spoiled boy 🌻
