We didn’t get a great photo of CH (pend) Hillaire Farm Gossip Monger when she finished her permanent championship a couple of weeks ago, so we were excited to finally snap a picture of her today.
As we prepare for Nationals, we decided to stretch some udders on the girls to get an idea of how they’re filling, and Gossip was looking so good that we couldn’t pass up the opportunity for a photo. We love Gossip for her balance and depth throughout, strong feet and legs, dairy strength, smooth fore udder extension, and the width and balance of her rear udder. She’s a doe that continues to impress us every time we watch her on the move, and she’s truly a lot of fun to have in the barn and in the show ring!

It's like looking in a mirror!

The first picture is Ober-Boerd Thank U, Next! Our yearling buck we purchased from Kirt over at Ober-Boerd Dairy Goats. The second picture is his sire, CH Ober-Boerd Return To Oz pictured as a yearling when he was leased and working in our barn. Both are so long and uphill with the dairy strength you want! We are very happy with how Tank is growing and look forward to using him more this fall. We're excited to see his dam CH Dreamy Sunset DET Nalet again in a few short weeks at Nationals!

✨ The vault is opening… for a limited time. ✨

For the first time ever, we are releasing a select number of straws from Hillaire Farm Vinland Saga.

We’ve held Vinny back from public availability because we wanted daughters on the ground for ourselves first! Now that they’re here, they are everything we hoped for and more. With that confidence we’re opening the vault… briefly.

Only a few straws will be available, offered on a first come, first served basis at 5/ $300

Vinny’s daughters are proving to be long necked, exceptionally balanced and wide with a great spring of rib. We anticipate him contributing strength in overall udder attachment while also improving teat placement. His dam's udder is really something this year!

Once these 20 straws are spoken for, Vinny goes back into the vault and will not be offered again for quite some time. Pickup Available at the ADGA National Show

We are clipping our kid crop this week. Hillaire Farm MelodyOfDaHeart was the first to get done this evening and we like what we're seeing from her. She's long like her dam CH Hillaire Farm AnthemOfDaHeart and we especially love her long neck, nice set of feet and legs and a strong head! She's the first Hillaire Farm Vinland Saga daughter and we're happy to report we think they're pretty stellar!
