Sweet Emmett headed back home this weekend after spending a week boarding with us! 💗

This sweet, spunky old dude was such a pleasure to have around!

He enjoyed plenty of time outside perusing the yard, chasing squirrels, and of course, making sure he got his daily pup cup! 🐾🥰

Thank you, Mom & Dad, for entrusting us with your sweet old man!

We loved having him here and hope he enjoyed his week with us just as much as we enjoyed having him! 💕

As many of you know, our family has an upcoming PCS on the horizon!

Because of that, we'll be making some changes to our schedule at the end of October 2026.

First and foremost, we want to thank each and every one of you for your continued support. ❤️

Here's what you can expect moving forward:

🐾 Current private training clients will continue to have their sessions honored as planned.

🐾 Boarding clients will still be accommodated.

🐾 New client intake will be extremely limited.

🐾 Behavioral evaluations/intakes will no longer be offered after the end of October.

This isn't goodbye—just a temporary shift while we prepare for our family's next adventure.

We'll continue serving our existing clients to the best of our ability and appreciate everyone's patience and understanding during this transition.

Thank you all for being part of the A2ZK9 family.

We truly couldn't do this without you! 💙

☀️ “Paying attention still counts if I have to squint…right?”

Willow: Most definitely. 😂

And you know what, sweet girl? It absolutely does!

We’re sorry the sun was out here trying to blind everyone today, but we sure appreciate you working through it anyway. Even with the bright sunshine and extreme temps/humidity lately, Willow stayed engaged, stayed focused, and kept making good choices!

That’s the kind of progress we love to see—not because conditions are perfect, but because she’s learning to work through the distractions life throws at her.

Way to go, Willow!

Keep crushing it, sunshine and all. 💛🐾

🌞 Heat Advisory Reminder 🌞

With the current heat advisories, the safety and well-being of every dog in our care will always come first.

We’ll do our best to accommodate everyone’s individual boarding and training needs, but please understand that we may need to adjust the amount of outdoor time during the hottest parts of the day. This may mean shifting potty breaks, play sessions, or training times to the cooler hours so we can keep everyone safe, comfortable, and healthy.

Thank you so much for your understanding and support as we navigate these extreme temperatures. We appreciate you trusting us with your pets, and we’ll continue providing the quality care and training they deserve—just with a few weather-related adjustments. 💕

Stay cool, stay hydrated, and give your pups an extra belly rub from us! 🐾

Food scattered around. A squeaky toy within reach.

And what does Willow choose?

Us. ❤️

This sweet girl ignored all the food (which she definitely wouldn’t have done on Day 1 😂) and left the toy alone so she could stay engaged and focused on her handlers.

To top it off, we’re also building her stay/wait command, and she’s making awesome progress every single day!

It’s the little victories like these that add up to big changes, and Willow is proving that with consistency, patience, and repetition, great things happen.

Keep kicking butt, Willow! We’re so proud of you! 🐾💕

P.S. Don’t mind the Christmas smock. 😂 Sometimes we throw those over our good clothes before cleaning kennels so we’re not changing outfits multiple times a day! 🎄😅

Truth bomb.

A lot of the things we do? They’re not fun.

The early wake-ups to dirty kennels. The dogs in those kennels who still refuse to be touched. The careful dance of safely getting them out so we can thoroughly clean both them and their space.

Not fun.

The constant repetition we put into training clients’ dogs, only for it all to fall apart days or weeks after they go home because the owners refuse to follow through.

Not fun.

But the worst part?

The fact that we do it all… no questions asked.

We deal with the p*e. The p**p. The bites. The thrashing. The setbacks. The endless repetition. We hear, “We’re invested. We’re going to do it. Whatever it takes.”

Only for those promises to disappear once the dog goes home.

We pour our hearts and souls into every dog that walks through our doors. We celebrate every tiny win. We lose sleep over the hard cases. We advocate for dogs that can’t advocate for themselves.

And then we’re left watching them regress—not because they couldn’t do it, but because the humans chose not to.

It’s exhausting.

It’s heartbreaking.

And honestly… it’s one of the hardest parts of being a trainer.

So from trainers everywhere: thank you to the owners who show up, who put in the work, and who keep their promises.

To the ones who don’t…please remember that your dog is the one who pays the price.

Sincerely,
The trainers who give everything they have for your dogs, hoping you’ll do the same when they come home.

Willow, Willow!!! 💛

This girl is making some awesome progress!

Her engagement is looking great—even with dogs kenneled just inches away.

We’re also starting to build the foundations of a solid “leave it,” and she’s already beginning to understand moving away from the item instead of toward it.

Zero complaints over here! She’s putting in the work, making great choices, and I’m excited to see what she accomplishes next.

Keep it up, little pup! 🐾

Say “hello” to our newest Board n’ Train member! 👋🏼

Willow is here for a little “tune up” when it comes to learning an off switch and how to appropriately react to situations when she becomes too hyper aroused. 🤪

No worries little one, we’ll do what we need to get you on track! 🐾🛤️

Oh sweet Luna… what a ride it was getting you reunited with your family in Germany! 💗✈️

July 1st — your flight was canceled due to extreme temperatures.

July 5th — we were already halfway to Atlanta (only 1 more hour away!) when we found out your flight was canceled again because the freighter never left Germany for the U.S.

July 6th — “Quick, we can get her on… can you have her there by 3 PM?”

So we did what we had to do to make it happen! 🐾

It was a wild few days of back-and-forth, schedule changes, and making sure all the pieces lined up… but finally, SUCCESS! 🎉

Reunited and it feels so good! 💗💗

We are so happy we got to be a small part of your journey, sweet big girl. Watching you go from boarding with us to safely making your way back to your family has been such a special experience.

Safe travels and enjoy being back where you belong, Luna! 🇩🇪🐶✨

☀️🐾 Beating the heat, one frozen treat at a time! 🧊❤️

Our boarders got to enjoy some homemade, dog-safe frozen treats today, and they were a HUGE hit! 🍓🐶

Not only do these fun enrichment treats keep tails wagging, but they’re also a great way to encourage hydration during this heat wave while giving everyone something tasty to enjoy.

When temperatures climb, we always prioritize your pups’ safety.

That means plenty of indoor time, fresh water, enrichment activities, and cool snacks to help keep them happy and comfortable. 💙

We’d say these got four paws up from everyone! 🐾🐾
