National Dog Rescue Day is observed annually on May 20 to raise awareness about shelter dogs and promote adoption. I adopted 3 of the rescue dogs. 🙂👍💕

Frick & Frack

Hello, we are Frick and Frack, two small, almost 1 year old females. We came to the rescue after being saved from a hoarding situation. We are both still learning how to trust, but once we do, we want all the love. We are both spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on our shots. We know the doggie door and also which kennels are ours and go to bed every night, no problem. We dont need to be adopted together. we just want to go to loving homes. Hello there I am Axel. I'm roughly around 5 years old, and as handsome as they come. I was brought to the rescue as an owner surrender, as no fault of my own. I am neutered, microchipped and up-to-date on my shots. I know the doggie door, crate trained and Im very good at walking on the leash. I would be perfect for an older person, or family with older kids. I get along with certain dogs, but have been known to get in a couple fights while at the rescue. Abby

Hello, this is Abby. She has been at the rescue for 244 days, and it's not her first rodeo. Abby came to the rescue in January 2022 and was adopted out shorty after. She was returned to the rescue in October 2023 when her owner became homeless. When she got brought back she came with her friend Eevee. Both girls were adopted out together shortly after that. They were both returned in 2025 due to medical reasons of adopters grandchild. Eevee was adopted a few month ago, and Abby is just trying to figure out where she belongs and why she is still at the rescue. Abby is roughly about 4 and a half years old, mixed breed, and very energetic. She loves to play ball for hours, if you would let her. Is house trained, crate trained, and walks good on the leash. She does good with other dogs but can get a little rough sometimes. We would just like to see her get adopted by someone who will love her and her tennis ball forever. Hello there my name is Cookie. I have been at the rescue for over five months now and I'm not sure why no one wants me. I arrived at the Rescue with one puppy who has since been adopted, and I'm just patiently waiting for my turn. Im good with most dogs but can be a little bossy sometimes. I do alright around children but would prefer older kids that know some boundaries. I love going on walks and don't pull. Im doggie door trained, crate trained, microchipped, spayed and current on all my shots. If you have a couch and a blanket to cuddle under, I'm your girl. Tiger

Hello there I am Tiger. I'm roughly around 3 years old and a Chihuahua mix. I was found living under a cattle grate in southeast Colorado and the closest house was a mile away. That family had never seen me before so I was brought to the rescue. Since I have been at the rescue I get to hang out with a few of the other dogs, and have been good at making no messes in my kennel. I would need some extra training to be ready for a house, but I am eager to learn and ready for a house to call my own. I have been neutered, microchipped and current on all my shots.
