Mile High Vaulters

Mile High Vaulters Mile High Vaulters is a National Championship winning equestrian vaulting club in Ft. Lupton, CO. The first lesson is always free, so come try it with us!

Vaulting is the art of gymnastics and dance moves performed on a moving horse. It's also the safest and most accessible equestrian sport and teaches a wide array of life skills such as teamwork, respect for others, and good sportsmanship. We teach vaulters from tiny tots up to Gold and international level.

It's taken a couple of weeks to relax and recuperate from the last competition but here are a few photos from Colorado State Summer Fest held in Fort Collins at the B.W Pickett Arena.

All of these kids and young adults worked so hard to make this a fun and successful show for everyone.
Some of the highlights include:
-- Violet passing her EVUSA Trot Medal test
-- Dani and Morgan competing their first modified tech test in 2* Gold
-- Lillian competing 3* Individual for the first time
-- Claramae moving up to D Trot with Dais The Pony
-- Matty winning Silver
-- Ginny earning first place with her Bronze freestyle
-- Copper Champion Josie
-- All 3 1* Canter pas de deux placing in very tight competition
-- Katelyn and Tristan hitting new personal best scores in D Trot and winning both the women's and men's divisions
-- Theo the Clydesdale going to his very first vaulting show

Many thanks to all of the show organizers, officials, families, and volunteers who made this experience possible!

Born 9 days apart, Amidala and Xena turned 26 years old this June.
They have carried countless vaulters from day one to their biggest dreams and shared the sport of vaulting with people across the country. They have given pony rides (sometime to the occasional barn cat) and riding lessons. They have earned many awards throughout their career but none so special as "favorite horse in the barn" for many people.
Thank you so much to these special ladies. Happy birthday Ami and Xena!!

Happy Father's Day to all of our amazing vaulting dads!

I had a hard time finding pictures because so many of them are working at the announcer's booth or judges table, making food runs, and hanging out in the stands cheering on their athletes.

In all the ways that you support us...we love you!

Another spectacular competition surrounded by mountains and the best sportsmanship you could ask for...Oak Hills Classic is one of our favorites to attend.

A small group of Mile High Vaulters took Zo, Garth, Fitz, and Bo to Spanish Fork, Utah for one last event in the USEF Observation Period for the Youth Vaulting Championships to be help at the end of July.

It was a super hot weekend with plenty of sunscreen in use and waters all around. Our vaulters put down some amazing performances including a few personal bests and earning some USEF Pathways Athlete Development Program scores.

Dani earned her first 10 in compulsories!
Matty earned a score of 8 or higher in at least one round of each event (individual freestyle, pas de deux with sister Dani, and squad)!
The Hounddogs Junior Squad (James, Lexi, Dani, Avery, Morgan, Matty, Shiloh, and Tana) earned a personal best freestyle score of 8.123!

Many thanks to all officials, volunteers, and organizers! And of course we could not do this without our vaulting families.

MHV is very proud of all our vaulters that made the short list for this years World Championship for Junior/YV. This process involved a complicated application process where they needed to track scores write essays and make a horse plan. We are very proud of all the skills they learned in AND out of the barn.
