Our young fillies had a fantastic few weeks at the Colorado Spring Series!

Bijou Bliss (Bliss ) returned to the ring in the 2 year old Pony Hunter Breeding. She was very well behaved and remembered her manners in the ring. Week two she was even handled by my friend Olivia, her first time competing with her. I am so pleased with how this filly is maturing.

Chaussettes ( Chacco Ricco) had her very first outings. She was a perfect angel showing off her fancy trot for the judge. I am utterly impressed with how level headed this youngster is. Chanel was completely unphased by the show setting. When she fills out more age is going to be unstoppable!

We are excited to continue our spring and summer circuit with our young horses and we are anxiously awaiting the arrival of the newest one!!

Meant To Be Farm had such a fun (and busy) weekend competing at the MRC Jump into Summer show AND Dressage for the Cure. Showing two stallions, memorizing 5 dressage tests, and switching back from hunters and dressage was no light task 🫣 We all had so much fun and I am very grateful for my awesome team there to support me!

Elisebeth showed KNJ DreamKhatcher is second 1 & 2. His scores improved each day and I am so proud of how rideable he was in the ring. We took a few firsts, thirds and sixth home. I’m having so much fun teaching him another discipline.

Elisebeth also showed Nila Grey Dancer for her owner Rebecca C***a in training 3 and first 1. We earned some great scores despite a rider error in our first test. She took home several seconds and high point thoroughbred! Nila is a joy to show and I’m very grateful for the opportunity

Autumn Trudeau showed the cute Astounding again in the modified hunters and equitation. Autumn took home some awesome ribbons for huge classes, including a win in the eq flat. Arlow finally understood the assignment of rollback turns by her medal where she had a gorgeous trip.

Lastly Elisebeth showed Candescent in the 18” division as well as the 4&5 yr old material and the usef 4 yr old test. I am so impressed with this guy. He didn’t get to school in either ring and stepped up like an old pro. He had perfect ring side manners and was zero prep. He is so much fun!

I am so thankful for such an amazing group and barn family. We might even try dressage again…

The horses and riders of Meant To Be Farm had an amazing first show of the season! We are also excited to welcome some new partnerships and new riders with our group.

First, we had sisters Brinkley and Kensie Wenning teamed up with Courtney Audino’s best boy Tuff “Solid Citizen”. It was impossible to keep track of all the ribbons between both girls but they rode Tuff beautifully in the 18” and 2’ divisions. For their first time competing with him they rode with a calm poise and elegance. Tuff is an amazing teacher but he is not a simple ride so it was great to see them put the pieces together each round. Thank you to Courtney for sharing this great guy with these deserving girls.

Our second new match up was Ayla Knight with Autumn Trudeau’s “Everyday Hero”. Ayla has been out of the ring for a few years but her hard work and dedication shined through and she had some beautiful rounds. She is really starting to click with sweet Favre. Thank you to the Trudeau family for sharing this kind soul with us.

Our last new duo was Autumn Trudeau and our own “Astounding”. Autumn had some amazing rounds in the modified adults earning a champion in the Eq, reserve champion in the hunters and a win in the medal. For their first show together it was truly beautiful to watch. I am excited to share my boy with such a talented and dedicated rider.

Our lovely boy Candescent was an absolute rock star showing in the cross rails for the first time. He handled busy rings and a new environment like an old pro. I am so excited to keep showing him this season. He is an absolute joy to ride.

Lastly, Astounding and Elisebeth had fun playing in the open 2’6/2’9 as a warm up and the under saddle derby where he earned a 5th. He has really grown up and has greatly improved how he handled this venue.

Thank you to Jenni Alsberg for yet another fun and well run show!

I am excited to share the news of our next chapter. Stay tuned!

December thus far has been a great success for bringing along the horses, young and older!

Lilly, 3yrs old (owned by Sandy Hankins) has been coming along in leaps and bounds. I am always pleased with her consistent effort and willingness.

JB (also owned by Sandy) has really turned a corner in his work ethic. He’s finally back to enjoying his job and showing us the incredible talent he has!

Puff has been coming along slowly and patiently but he is now starting small gymnastics with ease. He is such a fun and uncomplicated ride.

Courtney has been putting in the hours with both of her boys. Calvin is slowly learning the under saddle ropes, walking and steering with an excellent attitude. After weeks off she can safely climb on with no lunging etc. Tuff has been back to work over fences with jumping form the best to date. Our homework is truly paying off!

Youngsters June and Chanel and working on their manners and still having some fun. These guys are so cute to watch together. They both LOVE to jump.

Arlow has been working hard and practicing all his lessons from our recent clinics with and . Such an honor to ride with them!

Last but not least we have the incredibly talented Story owned by . She has been coming along so well and is anxiously awaiting her next home. She is such a fantastic prospect for all 3 rings.

❤️🖤🤍

Zone 8 Champion 3 year old hunter breeding
Nationally ranked 4th
Zone 8 Champion 3 consecutive years

While our in hand career may have come to a close, the door is now open to his under saddle accomplishments. This is truly a special boy.

I had so much fun showing him in hand and building our bond. Every ride we have is so enjoyable now. Our goal for 2025 is to begin our jumping career and attend stallion performance testing in the fall.

Thank you to everyone that helped and supported us along this journey so far!

Our Meant To Be Farm crew had a fun and successful final CHJA show of the season at ! As always they put on a relaxed and positive show experience!

Kensie rode Reggie to champion in the pile of poles and her sister Brinkley topped the 18” with a champion as well. It been so exciting to see their progress this season and these champion prizes were well deserved.

Payton rode Fiona in the crossrails with some great ribbons, but most importantly huge improvements. Piloting a green pony is never easy and there are always new challenges to which Payton faces with poise. The judge even commented on their excellent turnout, what an honor.

Elisebeth and Arlow rode in the 2’6/2’9. He has made some great improvements in ride-ability and consistency with the limited showing this year. He nailed his flat and earned reserve champion.

We also welcomed Charlotte and her Mt Bierstadt to join us. Charlotte was a pleasure to work with and had some great flowing rounds in the 2’6/2’9. Thank you to her coach Natasha Anderson for trusting me with assisting her!

It was such a fun day to get to ride and show with my girls. These young ladies held positive attitudes and excellent horsemanship skills all day. I’m so grateful to call this my job. Special thanks to Frederik for hauling our horses in style and cheering on the team. Here’s to our next season!

Thanks to .j.classics for keeping us looking tip top.

We had so much fun at our 3rd annual Halloween Horse Show. It was a perfect weather day filled with friends, snacks and our horses.

Brinkley, Kensie, Sofia and Payton all had some beautiful rounds in the cross rails. Puff even got to do his first courses of crossrails. Payton won the costume contest with Fiona (a unicorn 🦄)

Rose rode Chester in the pile of poles, for her first time in the show ring! Karen took Lily around the 2’ height. These ladies have been working hard and it shows.

It was so much fun to see everyone’s costumes and enjoy a fun causal horse show. Special thank you to Deb for coming and judging again! Thank you to everyone that came and supported in and out of the saddle. I’m looking forward to our next one!!

Proud Breeder Moment
💝

I love seeing my kids growing and learning! All 3 of these Charlottes babies are growing up to be amazing horses and ponies.

Charlotte consistently passes on her sweet and calm demeanor, leading to very easy to train and smart students. I love how easily these guys tackle new situations effortlessly.

Calvin had his first time with his owner Courtney aboard and was cool calm and collected. Louie has his first kid ride, both were all smiles. And of course our sweet Fiona is loving teaching Payton the ropes of jumping. This all makes my heart full.

Looking for your next unicorn? We are expecting another foal by Chacco Rico in 2025. Recently confirmed a big healthy baby. 💝

Our youngsters had a fun day going through the jump chute! We have not set one since last year and everyone remembered exactly what to do. For her first time trying it out, June really impressed us with her form. It was so fun seeing these babies having fun, playing and learning.

The jump chute is not something that we ever put too much pressure on, and the goal is not to test their max heights. It is just a fun and rewarding exercise to practice once or twice a year. Additionally, it’s a great way to continue to build a relationship with your horse on the ground and in hand.

Young and developing horses/ponies such as June are never put through with much more than crossrails of 12-15”. Our older horses jumped 2’3 to 2’6 although they clearly had scope for more.

Who do you think jumped best?

Carry On the Charades “Calvin” 2 years old
Limelight “Louie” 3 years old
Candescent “Puff” 3 years old
Bijou Bliss “June” 1 year old

2024 Chestnut filly
Chacco Ricco (Charles Blue PS) x Charade

We are so thrilled with our recent Westfalen inspection. Consistent top scores across the board for this premium filly. At only 7 weeks old she definitely didn’t have the maturity of others in this inspection tour but Otto loved her.

Not only does this filly have a gorgeous toe flicking trot and a floating canter, but she is the absolute sweetest baby. She always brings a smile to my face.

Her full sibling is currently available in utero for a super deal. Sure to be a flashy one!!

What an amazing week we had in Estes Park. This show has long since been a favorite of mine since my first time showing with my first horse, Bardic Bay. This year I got to share it with my best friends, my students, their wonderful families, and my homebred horses and ponies. I could not ask for a better dream to achieve!
I’m proud to say the stallions stole the show this time!

KNJ DreamKhatcher was champion in the .70m jumpers touting his usual perfect ring side manners and adorable pony charm. He received so many compliments. I am blessed and honored that his owners Kara & John Creswell of Cheyenne, WY entrust me with his care and development.

Candescent was a super star. For his first venture off property under tack he was flawless. He was a perfect gentleman all week and stepped up to trying out some poles and cross rails. I was elated to see my best friend Courtney pilot him in his first classes.

Astounding was his usual goofy and silly self with his antics but jumped his heart out to some great ribbons in the 2’6/2’9 hunters. Without time to show much earlier this season nor prepare he was truly wonderful.

Fan Mail was beautifully piloted by young rider Payton O’Connor. This duo has never experienced a big show, nonetheless together and they really showed what the future holds! Some lovely ribbons in the cross rails were received.

Regal silhouette was a rock star with two sisters Brinkley and Kensie Wenning. For their first big show, sharing a horse, they were fabulous earning reserve champion in the cross rails together. Thank you to owner Rebecca C***a for sharing Reggie with us.

Chics Smoken Chance teamed with Sofia Robinson were on fire. Sofia rode with poise and intention all week. They earned great ribbons together in the cross rails. Sofia has been working hard and it showed. We are grateful for the Pearson family for sharing Chance with us!!

Shelby Burleson also brought along two of her gorgeous Holsteiner mares for show experience. We had fun taking Mattie and Story for rides around the show all week. Thank you to Shelby for trusting me with the development of young Story. She is available to a new show home.
