As 2017 comes to an end so will DownDog Products.

After losing Sheba and Pebbles, the reason why DDP came to be, it became difficult to keep this going.

First and foremost I want to thank Keri and Liz for all of their support during my Doga journey. They are truly amazing women.

My focus will be on Maya, . Our silly girl has taken over our lives❣️And back to my other passion, product development. Once I start working on developing new dog products I will keep you all updated through her account.

PSA:

The popularity of Siberian Huskies, Alaskan Malamutes, GSD, and a few other breeds have sky rocketed in interest because of the uprising show Game of Thrones. GOT features hi def images of Direwolves that people often mistake the resemblances to the breeds mentioned above; causing an impulse in breed sales with no knowledge of that breed. These domesticated dogs are merely that. Dogs. They are in no relation to wolves and because of misinformation being passed around, these animals are ending up in shelters all over the world and being dumped because their specific needs for their breed are not being met. Shelters cannot keep up with the high demand of returned dogs and most of them end up being killed, there, if not, by people who think they are actually wolves. Buying dogs impulsively based solely on looks is not only unethical but irresponsible.
Misrepresentation kills. These wonderful dog breeds are suffering because the general public is so uneducated on the matter.

Easy or Seated Pose ~
Have your med to large dog sit/stay in front of you, smaller dogs can be held in laps and brought up to face level for this mudra. Always use Ahimsa in your Doga practice, never force your pet into a pose.

Now let's talk about the single, most precious thing you can share for the Wellness of both you and your fur babies, YOUR QUALITY TIME. Dogs and Cats are social animals. Simply put, social animals don't want to be alone. They need company and stimulating interactions, like Doga to build strong bonds and protect against loneliness and depression. Spending time fully present and aware with your animals not only benefits them but your mental health as well.

Happiness is an important component in your pet's over all wellness So don't underestimate the benefits of spending Time "fully present" with your Furry Zen Master.

We did an interview featured in a post by Fit With Fido. Check out the story but the main reason we did this was to help promote Fit with Fido's .
