🐢 Flora in the foreground, freshly finished with her FIP treatment. She never showed a single symptom and kept her full tortitude the entire time (she gets that from her momma Rosie behind her! 😼) We believe it was caught incredibly early during her routine spay, our vet noticed abdominal fluid, tested it, and it came back positive. After the long course of treatment, you'd never know anything had happened. She's our living proof that FIP can be overcome, a far cry from the days when it was considered untreatable...now if only those meds were a little more pocketbook-friendly. 😾 And, before anyone starts clutching their pearls, please do your homework: FIP is not contagious. Feline coronavirus is very common in cats, but not every cat carries it. Most cats who do encounter it, clear it with no issues; only a small, unlucky percentage experience the rare mutation that leads to FIP. Unfortunately for Flora. She was one of them. Our experience with Julia was amazing from the very beginning. She is communicative, honest, and clearly pours great love and care into her beautiful cats and kittens. We are so lucky to have the most special Blue boy from her — from our very first meeting he was confident, sociable, talkative, affectionate, and funny. He is truly a treasure to us, and it’s obvious he had the best foundation thanks to Julia’s dedication. I only wish I could have ten more from her!
