Poor Clementine 😔
This sweet 2-year-old girl was found in someone’s backyard without her kittens. 💔She came to us as a recent mama, still swollen and healing from mastitis, and we think that may be part of why she keeps getting overlooked.❤️‍🩹

But behind all of that is the gentlest little angel who just wants to feel safe.🤍

Clementine is only 8 lbs, and after everything her body has been through, she deserves to finally be the baby. To be loved and to have someone choose her and remind her that she matters too. 🥰

With lots of love, care, and cold laser therapy from our team, Clementine is feeling so much better. Now all she needs is a home where she can rest, heal, and blossom into the sweet companion we know she is. 🙏

She has been through so much already. Please don’t let this beautiful mama keep waiting. 💕

Come meet Clementine at the Humane Society of Broward County, located at 2070 Griffin Road in Fort Lauderdale. We open daily at 11 a.m. To fill out a pre-adoption application on our website (link in bio) or call 954-989-3977. 🤍

Odin is back at the shelter, and our hearts are hurting for him. 💔
This handsome 4-year-old, 56 lb brown pittie was recently adopted, but sadly returned because his adopters did not have enough time for him.

We know life happens, but we also want to kindly remind everyone that adopting a pet means giving them patience, time, consistency, and love as they adjust and learn how to be their best self. These animals are not perfect overnight, but they are so worth it. ❤️

And Odin is truly such a sweetheart.

His previous adopters shared that he is happy, friendly, super playful, potty trained, good with kids, and enjoys other dogs with a gentle introduction. He loves playing fetch, rope toys, squeaky toys, short walks, treats, belly rubs, and being loved on. He also knows sit, stay, come, and go.

Odin is not a fan of kitties, so a feline-free home will be best for him. 🐱🚫

Our staff and volunteers adore this boy. His tail is always wagging, he loves to be with people, and he shows his gratitude in the sweetest ways. He may need a little time to feel comfortable, but once he does, he is affectionate, silly, playful, and so full of love.

Odin needs a home that will choose him, love him, and not give up on him. 🏠

Please share for Odin. His adoption fee has been generously covered by , and he’ll even go home with some goodies. 🚗🐾

To meet Odin, visit our website and complete a pre-adoption application. The Humane Society of Broward County is open daily at 11 a.m. at 2070 Griffin Road in Fort Lauderdale. ❤️🐾

A perfect Best Friends Day adoption! 🙌❤️🐾
Our sweet Kiara went home just in time to celebrate with her new built in best friend for life…and they could practically be twins! 🥹

Kiara’s new family saw her photo on our website and immediately thought she looked just like their dog. They came in to meet her, and the rest is history! Now this playful, silly, treat-loving girl is heading home with a family who already knew she was meant to be theirs. ❤️

Kiara is a 2-year-old Shiba Inu who came to us after a new baby in her home developed allergies. Through it all, she stayed friendly, excited, curious, and full of love. She loves bacon treats, noisy toys, soccer balls, running around, chasing her tail, and greeting everyone like they are her new favorite person. Now she gets to do all of that with her forever family and her look-alike bestie by her side. 🐕🐕

We are so happy for Kiara and her new family! Happy Best Friends Day to this perfect pair. 💕

We still have many wonderful pets looking for forever homes 🥺

If you can’t adopt, please share our posts and consider donating to our shelter through the link in our bio 🙏

Your generous donations allow us to take in homeless pets like Kiara and keep them safe until they find their forever homes ❤️

One of our longest kitty residents keeps getting overlooked ☹️💔

Perry is a 5-year-old tiger cat who is having a hard time in the shelter. ❤️‍🩹 He was surrendered when his family no longer had room for him, and this sudden change has been very scary for him.💔🥺

His family shared that Perry is good with people, cats and dogs. 🙏He is calm, affectionate and gentle. He may be shy at first, but he has a very sweet personality once he feels safe. 💙

Perry enjoys treats and playing with bell toys. 🔔He would do best in a calm home where he can settle in at his own pace and rebuild his confidence. ❤️‍🩹

Perry is FIV positive, but that does not define him. FIV-positive cats can live long, happy lives with regular vet care, good nutrition and an indoor lifestyle.

Shelter life has been overwhelming for Perry, and he really needs someone willing to give him a chance. Sometimes the shy cats are the ones who need us the most.

Perry’s friends at J.R. Dunn Jewelers have kindly sponsored his adoption fee.

Please fill out a pre-adoption application at www.humanebroward.com and come meet Perry. The shelter is located at 2070 Griffin Road, Fort Lauderdale, FL and opens daily at 11 a.m. For questions, please call 954-989-3977.

His whole world changed overnight 😔💔

6-year-old Otis is a big kitty with an even bigger heart, but his heart is hurting right now, as he wonders why he’s suddenly living in a shelter? 🥺

This sweet, loving, and slightly shy gentleman is adjusting after his owner entered hospice, and now he’s hoping to find a calm, caring home where he can feel safe again ❤️‍🩹

Otis may be a little reserved at first, but with patience (and a few tasty treats - food is definitely the way to this 19lb kitty’s heart!), his affectionate personality comes through ☺️

He’s curious about other cats, though he’s never lived with them before. It is unknown how he is with children or with dogs in the home.

If you’re looking for a soft, soulful companion who will reward your kindness with quiet devotion, Otis could be the perfect match 💛

If you are ready to adopt, please complete a pre-adoption application on our website (link is in bio) and come in to meet Otis 🙏

Sandy is in a foster home right now, but what she really needs is a loving forever home 🙏

Her foster mom (.foster.quest) says:

“Sandy is seriously the easiest foster dog I’ve ever had! She is very flexible in her daily routine, sleeps perfectly all night (and will sleep in as long as you want), is fully housetrained and crate trained, knows her basic commands, walks well on leash, is not dog reactive (she is very friendly with a proper introduction), and is just super calm overall! She spends most of the day napping and is satisfied with a few quick walks each day ☺️. She does great left home alone and does not chew anything she shouldn’t.

Sandy benefits from a slow introduction to strangers in the home (but does very well with new people when they are introduced calmly) and is easygoing and friendly on walks. Sandy could live with another dog pending a meet and greet, but would likely not do well with cats.”

Sandy is searching for her forever family after being left behind at the shelter 😔 If you are interested in meeting her, you can fill out an application on the Humane Society of Broward County’s website (link is in bio) and then call us at 954-989-3977.

Look at Kane’s perfect smile! 😭❤️

9-month-old Kane is a 36-pound Boxer mix with the cutest little underbite and the sweetest heart to match.

Sadly, Kane lost both his mom and his home, and he is so confused about why he is here. But even after everything he has been through, he is still such a happy, loving boy who just wants a family to call his own.

Kane is playful, treat motivated, and loves toys, car rides, and being close to his people. During his visit, he spent about 90% of the time sitting in a lap because apparently he is convinced he is a tiny baby.

He is also great with kids, dogs, and even cats, making him the perfect family dog.

Kane has the smile, the heart, and so much love to give. Now he just needs someone to take him home. ❤️

To meet Kane, please complete a pre-adoption application at humanebroward.com and stop by. The Humane Society of Broward County is located at 2070 Griffin Road, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33312.

How much can one dog go through? 🥺🙏 Kobe is only 1.5 years old, and he has already had to start over more than once 😔

He was originally found as a stray, and sadly his former owner never came looking for him 💔 Then after being adopted Kobe lost his home when his parents divorced and no one wanted to keep him 😔

We wish he could understand that none of this is his fault 🙏

Kobe is a very sweet, social boy with so much love to give. 💙 He walks nice on leash, is potty trained, knows “sit,” loves treats, and enjoys running around the yard. Once he gets his excitement out, he settles down and shows you what a loving dog he really is. 🥰

He can get anxious in his kennel, but outside of it, he loves people, enjoys pets, likes to snuggle, and one of his favorite things seems to be sitting right in your lap. 🥹 He is still young and full of energy, so he will do best with an active family who can give him exercise, structure, and patience as he continues to learn. ❤️‍🩹

Kobe has done well with kids, cats, dogs, and people, but because he can jump when excited, older kids may be the best fit. 🙏 He is also allergic to chicken, so his future family will need to keep that in mind. ‼️

Please come meet Kobe and give this sweet boy the new beginning he deserves. ❤️

If you are ready to adopt, please complete a pre-adoption application on our website (link is in bio) and come meet your new best friend.
