UPDATE:
We have been informed that our closure date is 27 March 2026.
I am very sorry for the last minute notice as we just found out this morning. We will be monitoring the email address ([email protected]) and our messages for our clients to still get their records and non-prescription items.

The clinic will be open Thur. the 5th in morning from 8-12 instead the afternoon this day. We will return March 10th at 9:00am.

It is with a heavy heart that we have to inform our community that the Scott Valley Veterinary Clinic will be closing soon. The California Veterinary Medical Board has asked for Dr. Spencer to turn in his veterinary license due to age related issues and a complaint that was made in 2020.
We do not have an exact date of closer, but we suspect it will be within the next 1-2 months. We will post the exact date when we know.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank the community for allowing us to serve you and your pets for all of these years, and to let you know that you will be greatly missed in our lives.
Please call the clinic for your pets' records and to get current medications as it will be hard to get in quickly at one of the other local clinics. Please plan ahead of time and start looking now for a new veterinarian.
We are still actively looking for a veterinarian to take over the clinic, and pray it happens soon.
Again, thank you everyone for your support. It has been an honor.

ANNOUNCEMENT!!!!!
Dr. Spencer has decided to partially retire at the end of this year 2025.
The clinic well be closed from 1 Jan 2026 through 19 Jan 2026 to do some reorganization, then we will re-open on 20 Jan 2026 on a very limited basis.
The clinic will be open Tuesdays from 9-12 and 1-5:30, Wednesdays from 2-5:30 (surgeries will be done Wed. mornings), Thursdays from 2-5:30 (surgeries will be done Thur. mornings). These times may be adjusted as we settle into a routine. We will be checking our messages as frequently as possible, so leave us a message and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
During our closure we are still offering boarding and laser therapy, so again, please leave a message and we will get back to you.

STILL NEED WEEKEND/HOLIDAY HELP!!!! Start immediately. This job is not every weekend. You will be alternating with another person.

ISO: Weekend/Holiday help. $16.50 hr.
This job is very part time, about 2 weekends a month.
Job will consist of, but not limited to, walking animals, cleaning kennels, feeding/caring/medicating animals, laundry, checking patients in/out, and yard maintance. Candidate must be able to work efficiently on their own.
Computer skills and customer service would be helpful but not required. Please bring in your resume to the clinic - do not email.
Accepting resumes until April 1st or until position is filled.
Office hours are M-F 8-12 and 2-5.
