Hey everyone, a lot has happened in our time away from the shop since mid July! July 17th we welcomed our son Finnegan Lucas-Stewart, weighing 8lbs and 6oz, and measuring 20” long. Lainey is doing amazing and so is Finny. Unfortunately 2 days later on July 19th my best friend and best assistant at the shop, Chloe Kilmartin passed away after a long and strong battle with cancer and Li Fraumeni syndrome.
Many of you have met Chloe as she would come to the shop multiple times a week. She loved bathing and blow drying dogs with me so she could spend time with animals but also have quality bestie time together. She cared for everyone’s pets as I do, like they’re our own❤️
With that being said our lives are completely different from when we left the shop in July. Navigating life with a newborn and learning more about our day to day life on top of feeling the tremendous grief and loss of my dearest friend has been a lot to handle. I will be doing my best to keep most of the schedule how it is but i will need everyone’s understanding and patience if I need to take a step back whether that be for a few days or few appointments a week. We appreciate everyone’s love and support we’ve been given so far and will receive in the future. Bare with us and thank you!!
