Keep scrolling to the right.. I have been lazy about posting I admit and am looking to start again.. this horse came into my practice a year ago and what a night and day difference. My approach was to be conservative yet intentional to regain health of the hoof capsule. The theory applied to this package starts with a basic trim focusing on medial/ lateral balance reducing toe leverage while maintaining purchase and pastern alignment then complimenting with a shoe custom fit for the shape this hoof presented allowing the new growth to have the least amount of resistance coming from the corium aiding in this reduction of resistance I added a frog support flat pad to incorporate load sharing and using the back half of the foot to promoted blood flow and increase support while remaining less rigid as compared to a heart bar and I believe these photos say more than I can get across in this caption the horse continues to amaze me another happy horse and a good day god bless.
