We have 2 horses available for lease at our GREELEY location.

1. “Nora” is an 8 year old warmblood mare standing around 16.2. This is an excellent opportunity for a good rider on a budget!! Can be a sensitive type, not for a beginner. Show opportunities available to the right fit. Must stay in weekly lessons on site.

2. “Skippy” is a 13 year old medium pony. Very safe and a great one to learn on! Just your all around pony- jumps, trail rides, lead lines. Lessons available although not mandatory.

Another overall great week at Copper Penny II!

Brandyn Lokar Brummond got to bring both of her horses this time around. She and Newton (“Smart Cover”) attended their second show together as a team and absolutely crushed it! It is so great to watch Brandy having fun in the jumper ring and Newton clearly knows his job. They had excellent placings all week including a 2nd, multiple 3rds out of 20+ and a 3rd in the 0.75 stake. They got to end the week moving up to a 0.80m as well.

She and Felicity also played around in the open 2’6”-2’9” hunters earlier in the week, placing in the majority of their classes out of a large group.

Avery Spry got to attend her first CHJA show. She had never ridden Felicity before and had flawless rounds in the crossrail hunters. They got top 3 in almost all classes! Shauna Deluca

Sasha Hunter and Jingles (“Out of the Blue”) continued to shine in the 1.10ms, winning a class and placing top 3 in most classes. They also got 6th in the High Jumper Derby on Sunday.

We brought Ashley Honeyman’s mare, Elise to her second outing with us. Once she gets going, she is quite lovely and did we mention athletic?! We kept it easy on her as we are still working towards consistency and building her strength and top line. She placed in many of the 0.75 jumpers, out of a large field.

We had a great time at Copper Penny I!

Congratulations Sasha Hunter on your championship in the 1.10m jumpers and a 🥉place finish in the Mini Prix! It is so fun watching you two move up the levels.

And congratulations to Sierra Solomon and Brandyn Lokar Brummond’s “Felicity” on some great rides in the Modified Children’s including a 2nd in the eq on the flat and a couple 2nds in the Hunter over fences out of a large group. Sierra has only ridden her a couple of times in the last 6 months but you would never know- they looked beautiful together!

We can’t wait for our others to join us here for week II!

Despite my lack of photos, yesterday was a success at our first schooling show at the new barn! We had a good turnout and everyone rode so well, with lots of move ups, blue ribbons and clear rounds 🥇

Despite all the firsts our horses and riders faced this past weekend, we had a great time at Gold Crest!

Joanie Frantz’s AERO STREET attended his first show and continued to prove himself as the gentleman he is! He didn’t bat an eye at anything and jumped around great, even earning a 5th out of a large group in the 0.90s.

Sasha Hunter and her gelding, OUT OF THE BLUE (“Jingles”), attended their first show in over 8 months. They won their last round in the meters and even jumped around their first 1.10m in the Mini Prix!

Amanda Weinstein took her gelding COUGAR GREY (“Kenji”) around his first horse show, giving him a positive experience in the 0.75s. While he is still green, he got around all the jumps and handled the show environment very well!

We also took Ashley Honeyman’s new mare ELISE to our first show with her. She did not get in the arena before her rounds in the 0.75s and overall did very well! She won one of her classes and was Reserve Champion.

We all have lots of homework to get started on before our next show but looking forward to a good season 😃

A huge congratulations to Ashley Honeyman on her purchase of Elise, a 9 year old Hanoverian by Espino. She has been searching for her partner for a long time and I could not be happier that she finally found the one! I’m excited to watch their partnership continue to grow⭐️

WE’VE MOVED! We are excited about our relocation down the street to what will be our long term home at Twisted Pine Ranch LLC. A massive outdoor arena, large stalls, ample pasture space and an indoor arena in the works makes for some very happy horses and riders and we are thankful for the opportunity to continue growing here. Reach out for lessons, training and boarding inquiries!

We are all still speechless from last night! Rachael Davis and King scored a 79 and 80 in the All Stirrup Hunter Derby to take home the blue out of a field of 30! I am beyond proud of you both.
