Hey everyone waiting on that special moment to bring a cat into your lives:

Fort Collins Cat Rescue and Spay/Neuter Clinic is holding a Cat Caravan Adoption Fair from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. this Saturday (Dec. 23rd) at the PetSmart in the Harmony Marketplace. If you've been considering adopting a cat for a while, the event will feature $25 adoption fees for all cats 6 months and older as well as a $20 discount on kittens.

Thinking about stuffing your pet's stocking full of treats? Stick with chew toys that are basically indestructible. Kongs can be stuffed with healthy foods or choose chew treats that are designed to be safely digestible. Cat's love long, stringy things but they can get stuck in the intestines, often necessitating surgery. Surprise kitty with a new ball that's too big to swallow, a stuffed catnip toy or your undivided attention (phone downtime!). Enjoy the season!

The holidays are here and our pets know something is up. You've got swinging play toys for the kitties on the tree (yay! thanks mom) and your dog has already sniffed out their stocking (no kidding!). Whatever you do - just make sure the pets get their exercise and you warn guests not to give them "unauthorized" treats.
