We are very grateful to the generosity of a donor who has volunteered to cover the cost of adoptions of ALL the dogs and cats currently in residence at GCAS. For the general public, that means that thanks to this family, the adoptions are free for you to take home your new best furever friend. The dogs and cats will be microchipped, up to date on required vaccines, and either be spayed/neutered or come with a voucher to have Fluffy or Fido fixed at a local vet.

All we ask you to do is to bring in a bag of dog/puppy food, cat/kitten food, or cat litter to help feed our many residents. 🦴🐱

We are SO VERY GRATEFUL to our generous donor who wishes to remain anonymous and for the help that the community has provided us to help us make this transition to a new director under the guidance of the board at GCAS. We are looking forward to a bright future at our new shelter when it is completed, and that bright future starts NOW! ☀️

As always, dogs enjoy walkies, kittens enjoy cuddles, and we welcome any volunteers. Our volunteer application and adoption application files are available online at our website or you can pick one up at the shelter.

Dog training is an unregulated profession, which means anyone can call themselves a dog trainer. If they recommend that you use a prong collar, shock collar or other “correction” collar you can say NO THANk YOU🐾

E-collar dog training isn't a good training option. Aversive training measures cause stress and pain rather than building a bond with your dog.
