The Sheriff just found this little dude on HWY 87 near mile marker 45 (north exit of Fort Benton). Looks like he chewed through his leash or tie out. Please call after hours 406-622-5657.

Update: We are happy to report this beautiful, smart, talented pup has been claimed!!! We are sad to see her go, but her owner finally turned up. Apparently she was out of town and the person watching her dog was not competent to say the least. 😩
At last she is back with her momm!

We have ANOTHER animal found on Hwy 87 near mile marker 18. This aussie - border collie (?) mix has been sighted on the highway for several days before being picked by a Good Samaritan on her way to Great Falls. No one was able to help her in Great Falls so she turned around and drove all the way to Fort Benton to save this sweetheart.

If anyone knows who this pup belongs to - please let us know! No chip, super scared, but happy to be safe.
This pup has a fluffy black coat, and a white patch with black spots on the chest.

Update : Nina (fluffy female tabby) has been ADOPTED!
3/27 Update: Momma Gracie has been adopted! 😊
And Lynx has been adopted!

These little cherubs were born here, at the Dedman, 8 weeks ago! It has been such an honor to be here for this amazing mom and her 3 little loves! The mom was found in Great Falls, brought to Fort Benton and gave birth to her kittens the night she arrived!
The babies are up for adoption now, and momma “Gracie” will be available after her Spay and recovery. She is the most wonderful and affectionate momma. ❤️
Names chosen by Highwood Elem 2nd and 3rd graders!

Update: Kitty was found on Hwy 87 - mile marker 17-18, (coincidentally where a dog was found 3/25 as well).
This kitty needed medical attention for road rash and is on the mend.
It is chipped and the number was called. No response as of this time.

2/27 UPDATE -A Happy Ending 💕 Yoko is on her way back to her roots in St George. The RSQ Shelter, https://rsqutah.org/ (check it out - it’s amazing) wants this sweet kitty back. Today we delivered her to Great Falls airport to meet her chaperone, Robin, a part of the animal transport network out there.
They will provide her with a paradise of a cat room until she finds a lucky home of her own.

2/18 UPDATE Plot twist… We reached the *original* shelter of Yoko Ono in St George, Utah . It may be that her sister, Marilyn, may also be in the neighborhood. Both were sent out into the world when their owner, in Mesquite, NV, passed away about a year ago. No one knows how Yoko got to Fort Benton, but it is possible her sister Marilyn, may be here as well! Does this black and white kitty look familar to anyone?
The original owner is sending tranport for Yoko Ono but curious if Marilyn may have been seen in Fort Benton as well?
She would like to keep the siblings together if this is the case.

2/17 UPDATE: Per her chip, (which we could not read, but Highwood Veterinary could), her name is Yoko Ono and her owner info is private. We have sent that company our contact info, but not heard anything back so far.

And then there is Freya… she is the cutest. What a personality! She is so smart, has great recall, plays fetch like she is in the big leagues!
She takes a minute to warm up, but once she imprints on you, you are her person.
Loyal, loving, sassy and you are going to have so much fun with this little girl!
She is 4 years old, and what I imagine a corgi / red heeler would look like.

Today we are doing a lot of one on one with our pups, they need some TLC!
This is Lotus, she is always happy, loving, playful, and beautiful!
She is food motivated and can sit, shake and lay-down. She’s an easy-keeper!
She wants a home so bad, as she has been here since November and her attitude is still sweet and she has not given up hope yet!
She is almost 2, and has manners, super loyal, and so smart. Loves to run, walk, do tricks, and is super mellow when she’s not having kennel distractions!
If you’re looking for an only pet (no cats, dogs), she’d love to meet you! Great with humans… Full grown, 40 pounds of fun!

Meet Little Rugby!!
Rugby is so smart, so well behaved, such a love!
He was dropped off as a stray last week. He has a clean bill of health from the vet, had his first round of shots, dewormed, and will be an easy keeper!
We believe he is about 12 to 14 weeks old.
Can sit for his treats, loves people, and will be EASY to potty train, as he already does not like to potty in his kennel.
He is a mixed breed, probably going to be a 45-50 pounder when full grown. He needs someone who will invest the time to
train him to his full potential. Food motivated and is a “chill” puppy!
