when the customer says, do your magic man…….I simply said you got it dude….
What are you looking to do. Customer says I want him like how I shot him. So as I sat there, listening to the story of how the hunt unfolded for him which is a crazy story to hear to say the least. I knew this was not going to be a simple mount we are just going to pick out of any old book. We started to look through mounts and could not find one that fit how he was describing the Deer was before the shot. There was alot that were close but not it he said. So then i went to the drawing board to to figure out how and what the hunt was exactly like if i was there watching it unfold. I would call and have him retell  the story over so I can get the initial reaction of what a deer would be like when you’re on the ground at 10 yards with it looking straight at you trying to figure you out. So I probably looked a little crazy in my shop reacting his story and what he saw and was describing the bucks body posture. It clicked and man did it ever.  So away i went doing a big form alteration, making sure he gets what he was describing to me when the shot went off. Well dude here he is in the unfinished stage yet but he will be ready for your home very soon and then you can look back on that day over and over again with that big big smile knowing that he was only 10 yards away on the ground looking right at you trying to make sense of what you were..
