Walk the Talk 7 Day Challenge:

Day 4: Uneven Ground, Uneven Confidence
Today’s cue takes place on sloped, bumpy, or awkward
footing — a hill, tree roots, gravel mound, or grassy
dip.
It might not look like much to us, but to your dog? It
can feel wobbly, unstable, or just plain weird.
Cue your Down on that new terrain.
🚐 Reward = access to the van (or your chosen
functional reward).
👀 What to watch for:
• Shifting weight or reluctance to lie fully down
• Looking to you for reassurance
• Adjusting their body to find stability
🎯 Your job: Ask kindly. Give them time. Move to a
flatter spot if needed — it’s not about forcing, it’s about
finding the edge where learning still feels possible.
