Good morning pack!

Reminders about visit time ranges;
☀️AM VISITS 6:30am-10:00am, sometimes I can do early than 6:30am but that depends.
🦮MIDDAY VISITS 10:00am-4:00pm
🍽️DINNER VISITS 4:00pm-6:30pm (or up until 10:00pm depending on specifics)
🌘BEDTIME VISITS 6:30pm-10:00pm, sometimes out later.

🕒No DOGS have ever been left alone more than 12 hours overnight, I do need to sleep and usually have multiple stops for each visit type- so I would expect them to be alone 8-12 hours overnight, most families see 10-12 hours space between bedtime and morning visits.

🌎Please remember the service area has a 20 mile radius, sometimes I am driving from one end to the other which can be up to 40 miles drive between stop A and B which takes up time. I have never overbooked myself to point dogs could not be comfortably seen within 12 hours of bedtime visit, do not fret. I ONLY work in a route that makes the most efficient geographical sense I will not compromise.

🛄It is random what towns I will be in on certain dates, sometimes I have stops 0-5 mins apart, some are upwards of 35 + mins it’s all random and I am doing my best and your pets care will always be within the policies I have created I. Their best interests! Do not worry.

💤If you would like your dog let out BEFORE 6-6:30am I would highly suggest you book and overnight which is 9:00pm-6:00am.

🗓️This June-mid September is almost entirely booked.

📂Estimates for mid and late June will be completed this weekend

Today I took care of 14 animals, 12 dogs and 2 cats, 11 stops, 7 different families. In and out 3 times and drove over 150 + miles total spanning from white hall to Abingdon around and around and everywhere in between. Started at 6:45 am
ended at 10:30pm at home

Good Evening Pack,

Purrs and Playin’ Paws is hoping to hire for the following shifts starting (GOAL) Wednesday, September 9th, 2026.

2 “full time” walkers:
Person A *This might be me for awhile to keep as little disruption as possible for middays and so I can be awake and in control of staff start of day*
M, T, W, Th + Fri 6:00am-2:00pm (30 min scheduled meal break)

Person B:
M, T, W, Th + Fri 2:00pm-10:00pm (30 min scheduled break)

Sat and Sun
Person C:
6:00am-2:00pm(with meal break) BOTH DAYS

Person D: 2:00pm-10:00pm (with meal break) BOTH DAYS

Person E: 10:00pm-6:00am as needed for over night care!

These shifts ^ may or may not be booked straight through, which is why full time is in quotes. It is not 8 hours paid no matter what.
Same for the weekend shift.

Starting pay for all shifts is $15.00/hr + tips.

Official listings and job posting information is to be expected by early September.

Sunday Surcharge fee will go away once weekend shift person is hired.

This way there will be a consistent caregiver per time of day and day of week, at most the dogs and cats will know 4 different sitters (that’s if a client utilizes midday, irregular and vacation care options). If someone calls out, I go and do the visit, very simple.

I will be an administrative overseer and filling in when people call out or whatever. I’ll be doing all managing, billing, invoicing, inquiry answering and controlling schedules, conducting meet and greets and handling more difficult client conversations, training staff, marketing, document organization, legal compliance etc. Basically everything I do around visiting pets, AM, MID, DIN, PM + ON for past 3-4 years 🙂 .

A couple clients have voiced being concerned about overnights being removed:

1. I am hoping to offer later night times and earlier morning visits by utilizing two people instead of me setting an alarm to only sleep 8-9 hours in between.

2. I may not take them away, but the base price will be MORE THAN $135.00/night and it’ll be one price no matter how many pets. The company will probably make very little money on overnights after paying out staff their hourly wage. Unless I do them, which I might.

It costs me HUNDREDS per employee to onboard and also monthly to keep ! Thats what the general operation fee is helping the company prepare for.

Currently the company is at a volume that keeps ME and me alone very busy, it will need 2-3x the clientele (once all employees are trained and stable and invested) to continue.

I have done this on my own for as long as my body would hold up but becuse I see myself struggling with keeping up with computer work and my body being more tired and painful and my brain being exhausted, I’m going to hire help in the coming months. PLEASE, all clients, communicate with me IMMEDIATELY if you feel a hired pet sitter is behaving incorrectly in anyway.

Thanks all,
Leah J.

The company will be closed on Monday, June 22nd, 2026 from 2:00pm-4:30pm. This is my long video conference meeting with the app company to finalize the account before it’s ready for my clients to join and use.

The plan currently is to have all clients setting up between June 22nd, 2026 and June 30th, 2026 to be ready for full use by July 1st, 2026.

Once myself and all the clients are in the groove with the app, then I plan to hire someone for Sundays and Mondays ONLY, first.

I am very much looking forward to invoicing being automated, being able to mass communicate with everyone and all scheduling being requested through the app.

Some recent photos with members of the pack!

Well the last month of the “slow season” has ended. June-mid September is almost fully booked, there are at least 7 vacation jobs plus regular midday schedule this month!

I have started sending out estimates for the June vacation jobs and midday dog walking invoicing is steadily rolling out as well. I’ve been locked in my apartment since Saturday night doing multiple computer work projects.

Very busy past weekend ! 🐾❤️ some snapshots of the cuties
