Hi all,

Have been having a rough week health wise . Having some issues with my left foot since graduating from cast to walking boot. They basically forgot to tell me last kMonday I had to continue to elevate my foot every 2 hours for at least 2 hours and continue to take the aspirin since not 100% weight bearing. I was so excited I could drive and walk with crutches I probably over did it first half of week and didn’t have that information so I had serious blood pooling, discoloration and swelling, last night had numbness, tingling and soreness from foot to above ankle which was brand new in my recovery so the last few days I’ve had to basically be in bed again with foot elevated and staying low key with activity level. Hopefully starting PT this coming week which will be 2x a week for 4-5 weeks. The surgeon does not want me to return to work until after I am evaluated August 26th appointment . I am holding off on any announcements until around that time.

Cat sitting is reopening as of tomorrow July 28th, 2026 for households that have one step or less I need to traverse while on property.

I am still unable to climb more than one stair until August 27th, 2026.

Would any of my clients be interested in being a professional reference for me while I search for a job more suitable to my ankle recovery ?

Good afternoon pack,

I have transitioned from splint to a hard cast. I am being evaluated for a walking boot on July 27th, 2026. I am hoping after that appointment I will have much more information to share with you all regarding what’s happening moving forward. In the meantime, I am working on invoices, revamping the website and another exciting project I can’t wait to finalize and share.

Stay cool today,
Leah J.

Good evening pack,

Now that both my surgery (July 2nd) and procedure (July 9th) are over, I will be able to focus on computer work and send out final invoicing. All the anesthesia and new medication was making me very tired but moving on from all that! It is no fun being still most the day when I’m used to be so active !

I’ll have an update regarding my ankle/foot and physical capabilities after my post op appointment on July 15th.

I am currently coordinating a move, and some other stressors that came with this unexpected injury so I appreciate everyone’s patience.

Did you know the type of ankle fracture I had is extremely rare, making up only 7-11% of ankle fractures and the average amount of cases is 30-40 occurrences per year ? Lmao here’s a pic to show how bad it is and where the breaks are, yes 3 breaks at once. This is one of the most severe ankle injuries/fractures possible. The only option to fix it is hardware via surgery .
