Forest city animal Hospital will be closed today. Due to the icy roads and the fact that we lost power yesterday and I just talked to a man from Duke power and it's something underground. They're gonna have to bore down into the ground and repair and they can do it today so I think the best option is to just close today and let Duke power do what they have to do and get everything fixed. I'm sorry for the inconvenience. We're doing the best we can. Everyone please be careful.

SUNSHINE
Sunshine is a spayed female buff-and-white kitten, born on August 1, 2025. Sunshine was a very sick little kitten when she was rescued by an elderly couple along the roadside. It was summertime and she had burned feet which could have been caused by the asphalt road, but she also had a burned or scraped chest, singed whiskers, and a very damaged eye. She never let these issues slow her down! Eventually Sunshine was fully recovered except for that one damaged eye. Most likely it would need to be removed, but Dr Pam Poteat determined to do a delicate surgery to remove the damaged tissue that was almost completely covering her eye, just in case the eye could be saved. The surgery was successful! As you can see in these pictures, Sunshine's eye does not look "normal", but she can see out of it, and it is not diseased. She lives a fully active, happy life and she would make a wonderful addition to your family! Sunshine warms up easily to people and animals and she is litterbox trained. Indoor cat only!

Due to the inclement weather, Forest City Animal Hospital will not be open on Monday, January 26. We hope everyone is safe and warm and we will be back to work Tuesday morning at our usual time. Kat will also be calling tomorrow's clients to reschedule them. Thank you and be safe.

BATMAN
Batman is a male Mountain Feist/Fox Terrier mix, born about April 2025. He is sweet and loves people. Batman is neutered, healthy, and quite an easy, agreeable young man. He walks on a leash, is happy in his crate for sleeping, and is doing well with potty training. He knows how to sit and also wait politely for his meals. He’s a very cute guy who is on the small to medium size, and is an uncomplicated, issue-free dog who is ready to join a new home.

Jerry is a neutered male orange-and-white tabby, born on May 9, 2025. SPECIAL NEEDS! Jerry has a permanent head tilt that makes him move about a little differently from other cats. He doesn't consider it a problem at all! He loves to play with other cats. He loves to snuggle with people. He has a really cute personality to match his cute looks!
