Hello all - it has been quite some time since I have posted on this page - you will notice I changed the name from Turn The Page to Barks and Bows.

I have recently been volunteering my time at the Woodbridge Animal Shelter to assist in the rehabilitation of German Shepards that were rescued from terrible conditions. To say this volunteer work is fulfilling would be an understatement. This volunteer work has given me such insight into the work and dedication the shelter workers put in day in and day out.

I would love to be able to dedicate more time than I already do helping these animals and maybe when the day comes that I can retire I will be able to. In the meantime, I wanted to do something to help out sooo I created Barks and Bows.

I will be making crocheted bow ties for pets and also the paw print folded books. ALL proceeds from the sale of these items goes directly to the Woodbridge Animal Shelter.

I am starting to take holiday orders for the book art apples. Apples are made from discarded soft covered books and make an original gift for the teacher, teacher’s aide, librarian, nurse, etc. The blackboards can be customized with the name or saying of your choice.

I wanted to share a book I just recently made for a guy who wanted to get his wife something special for their 1 year anniversary (which is paper). He took his wife on their first date, got engaged and then married on the same date three years apart at The Stone Shelter in Cape Perpetua in Oregon. I wanted to recreate this location for him in the book so here’s the final product. I hope his wife loves the book as much as I loved making it.
