Another day- another mean Schanzzy!

This Schanuzer was being groomed at another local salon and was muzzled the entire time, we’re assuming it eventually got kicked out because why would they not just go back there? 😩

We’re definitely not the cheaper option but we are humane. We have a deep passion for the care of the animals that come through here.

This is an un-neautered male, last time he was groomed was around 6 months ago. Total groom time in this video: 20 minutes. He was semi-sedated here. He was scheduled with Dee after he bit our last groomer when she attempted to pick him up, and then tried to bite our receptionist when she tried to help. He did end up biting Dee in the hand, drew a bit of blood but mostly left a big bruise.

Groomers hands are their livelihood and bites don’t only hurt them they also hurt their wallets if and when they are unable to work.

We try hard to help the pet and their owner get their pets cleaned up and comfortable but some cases are just not feasible for a salon setting and must be done at the vet under full sedation.

We have heard the horror stories of salons, and boarding facilities that would still complete this groom. Not only jeapordizing their employees but the pets wellbeing as well. “They tape the mouth shut, muzzle it, and strap the legs together so their unable to move and shave it down. Trust me they will get that dog done.”

WE ARE NOT that. ABSOLUTELY NOT. Not around here. The pets safety is worth more than the price of a groom! Are you kidding?! Not all money is good money.

The color depositing mask fades rather quickly. This was a purple, celestial blue, and pink tiedye on Pawlina and after one bath it faded to a pastel or lavender look. Both are good looks, which do you prefer?

A permanent color or semi permanent color is brighter longer.
