Luciano 🩵🩵🩵🩵🩵🩵🩵🩵
If you love cuteness and cuddles, this is the little boy you have been waiting for. With a soft blue coat and soulful green eyes, he will melt your heart!

Born with severe hip, spine & knee issues, Luciano was brought to the vet by his breeder for euthanasia. Fortunately, the vet staff saved him. He was lovingly cared for until he could enter rescue and find his forever family. Luciano is now 15 months old and an adorable 15 lbs of pure love.

Luciano is a gentle, playful puppy that happily scampers around, eager to greet every dog and cat that he sees. He confidently wobbles up and down ramps and can even walk up a few steps on his own.

But Luciano will do best in a home without stairs or young, rambunctious children that might knock him over. He will not be your hiking buddy, but he will be your cuddle companion. He does have mobility issues, but that doesn't stop him from living his life to the fullest!!

Luciano can use a dog door.

He loves being with his humans and hopes to find a family where someone is home with him during the day. They will love listening to him blissfully snoring at their feet while they work from home. Luciano enjoys relaxing outside and hopes to have a home with a yard.

He recently had surgery to remove his cherry eye, trim his elongated soft plate, and remove his saccules. He's looking exceptionally handsome and breathing easily now!

This beautiful boy is so special. If he touches your heart and you can already imagine him happily curled beside you, please submit an application for Luciano!

Why Luciano is the most lovable:
Luciano is exceptionally sweet, friendly, calm, and never barks
He is gorgeous, adorable, and gets attention everywhere you take him
Extremely dog and cat-friendly
He rides calmly in the car and sleeps quietly through the night

Luciano's ideal home:
Luciano will thrive in a home where the guardians are home during the day, retired or working from home
Ideally, the adopters will have breed experience and have previously cared for an elderly or mobility-challenged dog
He hopes to find a new family where he'll have a furry sibling to share cuddles and fun
Mostly potty trained, he does best with an easily accessible yard

Luciano AKA Ube is neutered, up to date on vaccines, heartworm tested and microchipped.

Please have an adoption application on file before inquiring about Luciano.
All applicants must have a home check visit.

Meet 💙 Chico 🩵🐾🐾

Chico is a Tri-Color, Neutered Male, 4 years old, and weighs 30.0 lbs.

Chico came into Rescue from a Friend of the Owner who has been watching Chico for the past year - They were hoping the owner could take him back, but the owner is unable to do so. Chico needs stability and structure in his life. He is a quiet boy who takes a little bit of warming up to you before he is all in! Once he is committed this Boy won't let you out of his sight! He will be your Little Buff Muscle Hamster!"

He needs a calm, quiet, relaxing household with NO CATS and we would prefer No Small Kids - He is fine with kids, but could easily knock them down. He gets along great with spayed female dogs. He enjoys playing with them.

He will likely require a belly band when he first arrives at his new home. His Foster Mom says he does not require one now since he has settled in and knows the routine. He does sleep in a crate at night. He is currently on Fluoxetine, which is an anxiety medication, and that has proved very valuable for his well-being. Since he has been on the medication, he is a much Happier Guy! This Boy has a lot of potential and is incredibly "HANDSOME".
ADOPTION FEE: $1,500.00 (includes neuter, uvulectomy (palate), nares surgery, microchipped, current vaccines, heartworm tested-negative,
and cleaning, flea/tick and heartworm preventative)
Please make sure you have an application on file before inquiring about this Handsome Fella.

Meet 🩷 Midge 🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍
Midge - spayed female - fawn with black muzzle - 3 years old - weighs: 20.0 pounds

Midge came into Rescue via the Bay Area Shelter. She came into the shelter with a pr*****ed re**um and chronic diarrhea. When we received Midge in Rescue she
weighed 11.25 pounds and was a walking skeleton. We ran several f***l tests/panels on her looking for anything that could be causing the excessive diarrhea. All tests were negative - Our next step was an abdominal ultrasound that showed she had inflamed bowels (Intestinal Bowel Disease) - So, then we proceeded to controlled diet change.
After 2 prescription foods - We finally hit on Royal Canin Ultamino Diet Dry Food and her stools
are getting more solid and formed. She is also gaining weight and looks completely
like another dog then the one that came into Rescue.

Midge is a very sweet girl who gets along with other dogs. She has to be fed separately from other dogs because she can be overly protective of her food. This does not surprise me because of how emaciated she was when we received her. She has just started to play and enjoys laying out on the deck sunbathing when the sun is out. She is a Diamond in the Rough - A True Gem! She will make a Great Addition to any Family. She can be very shy and timid at first meeting anyone but
does warm up quickly.

She has been spayed, uvulectomy (palate surgery) and colpopexy surgery in mid-February 2025.
She will require her prescription food for life: Royal Canin Ultamino Only! No additional treats! Just this diet only!

UPDATE ON MIDGE AS OF 5/15/25:
Lab Tests ran on "Midge": Comprehensive F***l - Negative - Chem17/SDMA/Electrolytes - Normal - Canine Diarrhea Real PCR Panel - Normal - GI Panel with Spec CPL K9 - Ultrasound (Abdominal) - ACTH Stim Test - Addison Disease
Diagnosis: Addison's Disease (Hormone Imbalance)
Midge has had blood in her stools since she has been under our care. We have performed extensive tests (see above) to determine the potential cause and have placed her on a hydrolyzed diet. One of the tests performed confirmed she has hypoadrenocorticism also known as Addison's Disease. We have placed her on steroids and although she has improved significantly, she still occasionally has blood in her stools. She will need to be on steroids lifelong and therefore will need more regular veterinary exams and bloodwork every 6 months. We want to keep her on her hydrolyzed diet indefinitely as well since her stools have become more formed since starting this diet as well.
*If you are interested in "Midge" Please make sure you have
an application on file, before inquiring about her*
ADOPTION FEE: $1,500.00 (includes spay, colpopexy, current vaccines, heartworm tested - negative, microchip and registration, abdominal ultrasound and prescription diet).

Meet Our Lovely Senior Lady: MeeMaw 💕💖💞💕
Spayed Female • Dark Brindle & White • Approx. 8–10 Years Old • 23 lbs.

MeeMaw may be a senior, but don’t let her age fool you—she’s full of heart and ready for a fresh start! This sweet girl came to us from a local animal shelter after being surrendered due to untreated medical needs. Thankfully, she's now on the mend and looking for her forever home filled with cozy naps and cuddles.
After undergoing surgery for a serious uterine infection (pyometra) and the removal of a large bladder stone, MeeMaw is recovering beautifully. She will need to stay on a prescription urinary diet (Royal Canin Urinary S/O, dry or canned) for the rest of her life to prevent future stones—but she promises it’s a small price to pay for the love she’ll give in return.

💫 Why MeeMaw Might Be Your Perfect Match
🐾 Gets along well with other dogs and loves a peaceful, loving home
💤 A low-maintenance companion—just give her a comfy bed, special food, and love
💖 Sweet, snuggly, and ready to enjoy her golden years by your side

Meet Ms. Cauliflower 💕💕💕💕💕

Spayed Female | 4 Years Old | Fawn | 25 lbs. Ms. Cauliflower came into rescue through a local animal shelter after being found as a stray. She arrived with large ear polyps requiring surgery. While the procedures will leave her permanently deaf, they are necessary to relieve her pain—and she’s already had both ears surgically done. She has also been spayed and required palate surgery (uvulectomy). She has since recovered and is now awaiting her forever home.
Despite it all, Cauliflower is a total sweetheart. She’s gentle, house-trained, enjoys her walks, and gets along great with other dogs. Her hearing loss won’t hold her back—she’s ready to follow her person anywhere and soak up all the love along the way. She does tend to want to walk herself with the leash in her mouth. A harness may be a better way to walk this girl.

Why you’ll love Cauliflower:
🌟 Incredibly sweet, social, and house-trained
🐾 Gets along well with other dogs and loves her daily walks
💛 Resilient and affectionate—ready to thrive in a patient, loving home

She’s available for Foster-to-Adopt or Foster During Surgery.

Meet “Queenie” 💕💕💕👑💕💕💕

— Formerly known as "Ugly Betty"!

Queenie is absolutely full of charm, sass, and royal flair. This 6–7-year-old, spayed gray and white beauty weighs in at 28 pounds and is ready to reign over her very own kingdom (aka your home).
Queenie came to us from a local shelter and has clearly weathered some rough times. Years of neglected ear care have left her with chronic ear issues, but thankfully, no surgery is needed—just a loving human who can commit to regular cleanings. She's house-trained, thrives as the center of attention, and prefers a throne all to herself—no other dogs, please!

👑 Why Queenie is Ready for Royal Treatment:
Loyal and loving--Queenie adores her people and loves being Queen of the Castle
House-trained and low-maintenance outside of routine ear care
Best suited as the only pet in the home, so she can shine like the star she is
Queenie is truly a good girl who’s simply looking for the pampered, peaceful life she deserves after a rough start. Let’s find this sassy sweetheart her forever throne!

UPDATE: Queenie is in her New Foster Home, awaiting a Forever New Home, and her Foster Mom says she is a super easy girl to live with and would make a great companion for somebody or for a family. She is crate-trained, and she is super snuggly, loving nothing more than to curl up and cuddle on your lap.

Ugly Betty, Queenie, Queen Bee…. I just call her Betty. This sassy little lady is very sweet and affectionate! She has charmed all my neighbors-- waiting by their garage doors for her morning pets/snuggles as they leave for work. She has her spirited moments (zoomies, playing fetch, sneaking items from the closet) but is happiest when she's snuggling up with her person.

Betty LOVES car rides, sitting nicely on the passenger seat, excited to see where we’re going. She would be a great road trip buddy! She is house and crate-trained, is very smart, and eager to please. Betty is not a fan of other dogs/cats, preferring to be the center of attention.

Whoever adopts this cutie will be gaining a wonderful little companion!

Meet Oreo 💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕
4 ½-year-old spayed female French Bulldog
Color: Pied black and white
Weight: 37 pounds
Oreo is back in Rescue and bigger than ever! She will need a motivated owner to help her lose the weight! She does love her walks!
We placed Oreo with a nice gentleman who had recently lost his older Frenchie, and he was looking for another companion. Oreo was a match. Oreo needs to be the ONLY DOG in the household. No other dogs or cats!!!!

Email to Rescue from Owner (9/27/25):
Hi Patti,
It’s been just over a year since I brought Oreo to what I thought would be her forever home. A lot has happened over the past year, and it breaks my heart to have to surrender her back to you.
Oreo has been the best thing that has happened to me. Unfortunately, I recently lost my job and have found myself unable to take care of her financially. I broke my hip last year and panicked over making sure she got her walk every day. I hired two dog walkers, who faithfully walked her.
I provided indoor playtime, and when I got somewhat better, outside playtime with her. She loved her walks, having fun, and just being her true dog self. She turned out to be a great watchdog and a wonderful indoor companion for me.
She really loves children! She and I bonded very quickly!
I fed her premium dog food (Fresh Pet Vital Chicken blend). She has gained weight, but she is a healthy and happy dog. She gets so tickled to see the people she loves that she jumps in the air like a baby lamb!
This is destroying me… I wish I could find a way to keep our “love affair going.” I’m having a real problem saying goodbye, but I have become disabled and can no longer care for her needs.
I will miss her more than I can say and have been telling her so all day. Please know that she was loved mightily by me. If there were any way to work it out so that I could keep her, I would. Please make sure she goes to a loving, no-dog home. Let them know that because of my recent disability, she sometimes poops in the house on training pads, since I couldn’t always take her out. She’s a true-blue friend and a great companion.
Keep showering my baby with love and try to find someone who will love her as much as I did.
God bless you for what you do!
Randy

Oreo will be placed as the ONLY DOG in the household. She has become overweight and is on a doggie diet. Oreo weighed 24.6 pounds when she was adopted out, and now that she is back in Rescue, she weighs 37.0 pounds. She will require slow weight loss in her new forever home.
Re-Homing Fee: $400.00
(Includes vet exam, Rabies and Distemper/Parvo vaccines, Heartworm test—negative, diet food, Heartworm preventative, and flea/tick control)

Meet Igor, a 5-year-old French Bulldog with a heart as big as his bat ears! This charming little clown is equal parts cuddle bug and comedian. He loves being close to his humans—whether he’s trotting happily at your side, supervising your every move, or curling up beside you for a well-earned nap.

Igor embodies everything we love about Frenchies: playful, loyal, and irresistibly goofy. He walks nicely on a leash and brings joy and laughter wherever he goes.

Like many French Bulldogs, Igor has chronic skin and ear issues that will require regular maintenance. With consistent care, including medicated baths, a quality diet, and occasional vet visits, his skin stays comfortable and healthy. He’s currently doing well on Cytopoint and antibiotics as needed.

At around 30 pounds, Igor is working to reach his ideal weight of about 25 pounds. He’s handling his “Jenny Craig for dogs” program with great enthusiasm!

Because Igor enjoys being the star of the show, he’ll need to be the only pet in the home. A fenced yard is required as he continues to fine-tune his house training. With patience, structure, and lots of love, this bright boy will thrive.

Igor is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and heartworm negative.

If you’re looking for a funny, affectionate companion who will fill your days with laughter, Igor might just be your perfect match!

✔️ Quick Facts
Needs to be the only pet (loves being the center of attention!)
Requires ongoing skin and ear care
Fenced yard required; working on house training

Meet Francine 💕💕💕💕💕💕💕
Age: 4.5 years
S*x: Spayed Female
Color: Reddish
Weight: ~20 lbs
Francine has been with us for a while, and in that time, she has completely stolen our hearts. She was found on a rainy night in the Sacramento area by a Good Samaritan and brought to the local shelter, where her journey with us began. She arrived with a re**al prolapse that required surgery, and soon after, we discovered she also had an ectopic ureter, causing constant urine leakage. After extensive testing, cultures, and specialized surgery at UC Davis, this brave little girl finally got the medical help she needed.
Despite everything she’s been through, Francine’s spirit has never dimmed. She is pure sweetness. A happy, cuddly, affectionate girl who loves being curled up on the couch or snuggled right next to you in bed (her favorite place!). She gets along wonderfully with everyone she meets, including people, dogs, and cats.
Francine currently eats RC Urinary S/O, a prescription diet on which she has truly thrived. We do recommend she remain on this food long-term to support her continued health.
She is potty trained and crate trained, although she’ll always choose to be close to her human if given the option. To know her is to love her—and trust us, she has become a favorite here in Rescue. If you’ve ever wished for a “once in a lifetime” kind of dog, Francine may just be your girl.
We’ve invested over $8,000 in her medical care to give her the bright future she deserves, and now she’s ready to find her forever family. Someone committed, loving, and prepared to spoil this beautiful little soul.

Adoption Fee: $1,500(Includes: spay, colonpexy, current vaccines, microchip, heartworm test [negative], ectopic ureter surgery at UC Davis, urinalysis/cultures, flea/tick/heartworm prevention)
Foster Mom will be reviewing applications for "Francine".

02/01/2026

Porkchop, AKA Porkie, is a sweet, 3-year-old Neutered French Bulldog with a gorgeous fawn coat and a classic black muzzle. He weighs about 42 pounds, and while he may be compact, he’s full of personality, love, and goofy charm.

This handsome boy is crate-trained, house-trained, and sleeps soundly through the night in his crate. He’s a smart cookie, too—Porkchop loves working on dog feeder puzzles and will happily settle in for TV time with his human after a good meal.

Because he doesn’t always get along with other dogs—especially dogs of his own breed—Porkchop needs to be the only dog in the home. He’ll thrive with someone who can give him all the attention, structure, and love he deserves. Porkchop prefers to live with a single woman or two. He is Leary of men and tends to be a little scared of them. We will not place with children under 12 years of age because he is a strong boy who doesn't realize his own strength and can easily knock you over.

Porkchop has a couple of manageable dietary needs:

He eats a hydrolyzed protein diet due to food allergies.
He also requires psyllium husk fiber with every meal to keep his tummy happy.

Porkchop will bring light, laughter, and endless love to a person or family ready to welcome him as their one-and-only four-legged companion. If you’re looking for a loyal shadow, a puzzle-solving buddy, and a professional couch cuddler, Porkchop may be your perfect match.

If you are interested in this "Tall Dark Handsome Fella", please make sure you have an application on file before inquiring about "Porkie".
