I said goodbye to sweet Missy today. Her body was failing. 😔 I know she enjoyed her short time on the farm. She will be missed! 💔

Meet May!

She arrived this afternoon. She needs lots of groceries, hoof care and skin care. We are slowly re-feeding primarily with alfalfa and have already started her on supplements.

She is a very sweet girl and will be seeing the vet and farrier early next week.

10 years ago, her owners moved away and abandoned her. My friend was their neighbor and rescued her. She kept her for several years. 5 years ago, my friend rehomed her. She was under the care of her 3rd (+) owners in this condition. She’s estimated to be 20-25 years old. 

May is here to stay. She will not be moving again. 💖

Found on Piney Branch Rd in Bogalousa.

- found with another puppy who was black (also safe)
- no microchip

Lucie Lou was adopted!!!! Chris and Kay drove her to meet her new owners and (tri-paw) sister!!

Thank you to everyone who helped this girl every step of the way. It was a long road to recovery but she’s HOME 🎉
