know one said being successful was going to come easy and be without failure. It's not about if your going to fail it's about what your going to do once you fail. Are you willing to keep moving forward or are you going to make accommodations to make today easier but tomorrow harder?

The most successful dog trainers are “in it” to help dog owners.
The trainers that are not focused enough on helping “you” should be avoided.
Training dogs is easy and many get “into it” for the love of dogs. Sorry but that’s not even close to a primary qualifier for this work.
If you don’t LOVE helping the people you will burn out fast in this field as well as leave unsatisfied clients everywhere.
Don’t really like people?
Step aside and let the true professionals in this field do what they do best.

I can’t stress enough how important your relationship is with your dog. If they aren’t naturally looking up to “checking in” then you need to improve the quality of your connection.
Suki is doing great, she’s working on the martingale with her homework and harness on long line. She’s also excellent at respecting thresholds with her elder owners. It is very important because no dog should ever rush a threshold nor plow through you if a door opens. It’s not their ticket to the outside world if it’s not respected properly!
This little pug is so smart and attentive to us doing the work!
