Hello, I'm Sabrina, the proud owner and trainer at Pirate Paws Training. My journey in dog training began when I was just 17, unknowingly teaching my dog Jack Sparrow various commands before even knowing the terminology. He also inspired the name Pirate Paws. As I delved deeper into my twenties, I found and had the opportunity to gain invaluable knowledge and expertise, which further fueled my passion for training. ABC helped me get my first pet store training job. Being a Certified Animal Behavior College Dog Trainer shows a distinguished level of education. Pet owners feel reassured by the depth of my educational background and experience. Over the past decade, I've honed my skills while working with various organizations and rescue groups, focusing on helping adopted and rescue dogs find their forever homes. My approach involves individualized assessments and the creation of personalized training plans tailored to the unique needs of each dog and their family using positive reinforcement. While I used to have reservations about board and train facilities, I've come to realize their significance, particularly for rescue dogs. I will offer board and train services to individuals who are the best fit after undergoing an evaluation. My dedication lies in ensuring that behavioral issues don't hinder a dog's chance of finding a loving home or an adopted pup being surrendered.
