Come on down toe the Grant County Bark for Life event at the Grant County Park. I will be giving a short talk about the benefits of Acupuncture, and Darleen Cervantes will be doing a demo with Medusa (canine) The even starts at 2 pm and goes unto 4 pm. Any revenue goes to support Cancer research for both Dogs and Humans.

Do you know what Giardia is?

Giardia lambia is a water borne parasite that is not only infectious to your pets but also to humans. Although rarely deadly, patients that are compromised can succumb to the disease. The hallmark signs of a Giardia infection are anorexia, lethargy, and diarrhea. In more mild cases, the bowel movements often start out as normal and end with mucus that may or may not have a small streak of blood. More aggressive infections will have bloody mucusy diarrhea and the animal may or may not begin to vomit. The good news is that it is very easily treated with medication. And in cases where Giardia is reoccurring, there is a vaccine to aid in eliminating it from their system.
