Roseburg Police Department’s new K-9, Sherman, turns 1 year old today!

Sherman, a Dutch Shepherd, underwent rigorous training before joining the Roseburg Police Department in March. The dog continues training with his handler, Officer Spencer Dahl, and Sgt. Ryan Dingman.

You can see Sherman and Officer Dahl in action during “Police K9s Unleashed” at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 18, at Douglas County Speedway. The event is organized by the nonprofit Friends of Umpqua Valley Police K9 Programs.
