At Athena’s Den, every single animal is so incredibly amazing and important to us that when we're faced with losing one, the price for recovery doesn't matter.

Zeus, our biggest bengal at Athena’s Den, tore his puppy ALC completely off while chasing a possum late one night. We took all the steps except scheduling surgery in the hopes it was just a sprain. Well, it wasn't and we scheduled him for surgery. To say that we haven't slept a full night's sleep in 3 days is an understatement!

Our baby is back home and recovering with Dr. Wela, nurses, Volt, Lucky, and Clark, and candy stripper, Welo. He'll be back to playing with his automatic ball launcher, itty bitty kitties, and visiting his friends in no time!

It's amazing the number of people involved in his care, surgery, and recovery! We are forever grateful for more PAIN FREE time with our baby ❤️

These guys are so incredibly funny! While one comes up to me for cuddles, the other one fights me for his brother back. When I put him down and pick up the fighter, the cuddle fights me for his brother back. I love how curious, playful, and chill they are.
