FOUND male Australian Shepherd. No microchip or collar. Found on the corner of Jones/Wagner rd in Florence 3 pm today. He is not at Florence Animal Hospital. Meet Josie! 🐾

Josie is a 7-year-old spayed female Jack Russell Terrier with a sweet, outgoing personality who’s ready to find her perfect new home. She’s a happy, affectionate girl who truly enjoys being around people and would love a home where she can be part of the action.

Josie loves walks and hiking and would be an excellent match for an active person or family who enjoys spending time outdoors. She’s healthy, well cared for, and up to date on all vaccines. She recently had a dental cleaning in December and has no medical concerns.

What makes Josie special:

Friendly and great with people

Energetic and fun-loving, especially outdoors

Very healthy and well maintained

Not a digger, according to her previous owner

Josie would do best in a home without other female dogs, though she may do well with a calm, well-socialized male dog. She hasn’t had experience with cats, livestock, or chickens, so a home without those would be ideal. Fireworks can make her nervous, but she does very well with medication and support.

Josie is a loving, loyal companion who has so much affection to give. She’s ready to bring joy, adventure, and companionship to the right home 💛

Racoons diseased with canine distemper virus are in Montana. Distemper is a highly contagious and often fatal disease. It affects the respiratory, gastrointestinal, and nervous systems. It can present with clinical signs such as disorientation, aimless wandering, coughing, diffucilty breathing, vomiting, diarrhea, lethargy or loss of appetite. Distemper can infect various wild and domestic carnivores, including dogs, foxes, skunks, and raccoons. Distemper can be effectively prevented in dogs by keeping vaccines current and up to date.

Our core DAPP vaccine that we recommend for all dogs includes Distemper, Adenovirus, Parvovirus, and Parainfluenza. We recommend that you make sure your dog is current on their vaccinations, including Rabies. DAPP can be purchased at feed stores or online and administered by owners and breeders themselves at home. We do not recommend this. If it is expired or incorrectly transported, stored, or administered, it is not effective. Our vaccines come directly from the manufacturer and are guaranteed.
