**A little shop update**

All projects dropped off in 2023 are mounted and drying and 99% finished

I have 2 deer that were dropped off in early 2024, those should be mounted this week , then I will be starting on turkeys !

Good morning

Just a update, now that the competition season for me is completed I can show you all my pieces.

This year wasnt my best year as far as “winning” if you look at it from the ribbon side of things, however if you look at winning from the stand point of gaining friends, gaining knowledge,then I would say you can win even when you fall a little short.

I was touched by my fellow competitors selecting my turkey for competitors choice bird, that means more to me than words can say, once again thank you all

The main thing is that we don’t fall short in the big “competition” of life. I had a verse put on my business card, and I want to do my best to represent this and bring glory to him in victory and defeat.

1 Corintians 10:31 whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.

If we do that, we all win.

Just a tip sheet to look at if you or your “buddy who has a friend, whose cousin, knows a taxidermist” is going to cape your deer.

The quality of your mount starts as soon as you have harvested it.

We have select few replacement capes, but it’s better to use the original.

Good morning,

A little shop update, and please pardon my photography skills as they need some attention

The first 5 are finished from 2023 season. We are a little ahead of schedule on a few projects.

I am currently working on November 23 projects

Finishing up the turkeys this week , fingers crossed we will be mounting deer in August 2 projects remain from June 2023...

Nice and shiny !

What does shiny mean? (of a smooth surface) reflecting light, typically because very clean or polished.

Just a shop update as it has been a awhile!

I have 1 more deer to mount from 2022, then a duck, a ram , then I will be starting on 2023 Turkeys !!

I hope to be be back to mounting the 2024 season deer by August

I will finally be back to 12 mounts or less for a turnaround time!!!!!

I have also added two photos of our competition pieces, The the good Lord blessed me and I was fortunate to be awarded two blue ribbons, one for the turkey and one for my tree I sculpted. I was also awarded my 4th state champion title with my turkey at the IL show , I also received a blue ribbon at the NTWF show in the Masters of Masters division.

On my deer I was awarded a second place.

You may ask why we compete ? Yes it takes time, but I go to get better and try give you the best possible mount I can .
