I started attending the Illinois Taxidermy Association Convention and competing in 2008 and boy have I learned a lot! I have met some truly amazing people that I consider more than competitors, they are my people, my friends, and a second family.

This is the first year that each entry I took received blue ribbons.

I a whitetail deer , two turkeys and a tree limb that I sculpted. The turkey mount started out with a vision and a 2x4.

The awards I received are:

4- Blue Ribbons
State Champion mixed multiples
People’s Choice
Competitors choice best bird
Best mount on a Trophy Room Woodshop Base

These awards are great , please don’t get me wrong, but nothing compares to the greatest of knowing the Lord, and the eternal reward waiting for those who believe in him , I praise him for the gifts he has blessed me with.

1 Corinthians 10:31 whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.
