Last night we went out to a Rappahannock colony, where we have done TNR, in response to the caregiver calling about a kitten with bad eyes. The kitten was totally defenseless due to eye infection and puss gluing it's eyes together. Luckily is was just sitting there and easy to catch, which would be the same had a predator come along after dark. So we got this little one, and it's sibling, who has a milder eye infection. Untreated, the kittens could develop ulcers, or loose their vision, but we already managed to soak and wash the goop off, and get some meds into the kittens' eyes, so we are hopeful for them to improve without permanent damage.
It's two more kittens to take care of... but they were in danger and needed help. Please donate to help cover the costs of all these little ones, if you can. Thank you!

THANK you all for bringing us cans last month, WE MADE $191, and think that's a great start! We absolutely plan to continue, and for JUNE hope to get past $200.
PLEASE SEPARATE soda and drink cans from cat food cans, wash cat food cans, and you can crush soda cans also.
WE ARE STILL LOOKING for a drop off site in FRONT ROYAl, so if anyone has a place, let us know.
Thanks to our volunteers for sorting and transporting the cans especially Roxie and Dave 💙💙

MOLLY has spent 6 wonderful years with her adoptive family, and is so incredibly loved. Her favorite person Hannah, found her soul mate in kitty form, and each years we get an anniversary photo to celebrate another happy year with MOLLY. This makes us so happy because we do worry about cats, and hope they are all doing well. We can't thank Hannah and her family enough for giving MOLLY such a wonderful home, and letting us know how she's doing each year!

Our sweet little tuxedo family has outgrown their nursing cage, so we set them up a fun new cage and moved them in today. Looks like they are happy and there is room for kittens to go crazy, while mum takes a break.

SAVE THE DATE! On Saturday, June 13th our rescue will have a fundraising event, and there will be tons of quality items for sale, AT BARGAIN PRICES! 100 percent of the money we make, will go towards the cats. Right now we are definitely in need of a boost in our bank account, to help us cover multiple cat surgeries, sick kitties, spay/neuter, and of course the KITTENS! 😽 we hope you can make it!

Rescue is 24/7, no weekends off, holidays or 9 to 5… When a call comes in about an injured cat, we try and get someone out to catch it as soon as possible, and for most cats, there is a happy ending. Sadly this grey feral in Rappahannock county who was likely hit by a car, was found when we went to trap, and had passed in the night from her injuries. At least she is no longer suffering. A happier ending came for MORGAN, after we responded to a request to help a sick cat curled up by a bridge, not moving. He was starving and dehydrated but is now thriving. So that is how it is with rescue, we are just glad to try and make more happy endings than sad.

Wow it’s been a week! We have been dealing with two TNR cats that have serious medical issues, plus our foster cat HEMINGWAY had to have unexpected double eye surgery, that cost us over $2,000 😫 Vet Vision did the surgery same day, which was great of them. He had lower lid ENTROPY surgery, because his eyelids caused his lashes to aggravate his eyes, giving him an ulcer in one. He’s such a sweet cat, we hope he’ll be feeling better soon. He definitely has been handed a couple bad cards, as he’s getting over FiP too! Needless to say he’s our current million dollar baby 😻❤️‍🩹
Any donations to help, are most appreciated.
