🐾 Kitten Season Is Here! 🐾
Spring and summer mean we start seeing more and more baby kittens found outdoors. Before moving them, it’s important to know the safest way to help depending on their age. 💛
🐱 NEWBORN KITTENS (Eyes closed, ears folded down)
➡️ Mom is likely nearby and may just be searching for food.
✅ Watch quietly from a distance for several hours if the kittens appear clean, warm, and quiet.
❌ Do NOT immediately remove them unless:
• They are cold, injured, or covered in ants/fleas
• Mom has not returned in 6–8 hours
• The area is unsafe
🐱 YOUNG KITTENS (Eyes open, wobbly walking)
➡️ Mom may still be caring for them.
✅ Leave them with mom whenever possible — kittens have the best chance with their mother.
✅ If safe, provide shelter nearby and monitor.
🐱 OLDER KITTENS (Running, playful, eating on their own)
➡️ These kittens may be old enough for rescue, fostering, or adoption assistance.
✅ Contact a local rescue or veterinary clinic for guidance on next steps.
⚠️ IMPORTANT:
Very young kittens cannot regulate body temperature and should NEVER be fed cow’s milk. Keeping them warm is the first priority.
If you find kittens and are unsure what to do, give us a call. We are happy to help guide you through the safest next steps for both mom and babies. 🐾💕

🐈🐩 Did you know that diabetes in pets, just like in humans, affects the body's ability to regulate blood sugar? High blood sugar can impact your pet's entire body. Look out for common signs like increased thirst💧, frequent urination, weight loss despite eating, lethargy, or cloudy eyes.
💉Learn what to watch for, understand which pets are at higher risk, and discover how diabetes is managed. Remember, with proper care and routine monitoring, diabetic pets can live long, happy, and full lives!
If you see these signs in your pet please call us at 📞(912) 368-3236.
