Jersey is experiencing a Major heatwave this week!! If you suspect your pet is suffering from heatstroke, please call us or an emergency clinic if we are closed. Help cool your pet down by moving them to a shaded area or into the A/C, point a fan at them, offer small sips of cool (not iced) water, and wet their body, especially armpits & groin, with cool (not cold) water.

Did you know that all surgery patients are wrapped up in blankies as they come out of anesthesia? Dogs and cats (and humans!) tend to drop their body temperature while under, and waking up can be a bit disorienting. So ‘warmies’ help them stay warm as well as secure, not to mention comfy!! We also use blankets in kennels & cages & in exam rooms for our pets who need a little more cushion. So if you’re cleaning your closets, please think of us! 🥰
