My Love

Rio Nuevo is a Paso Fino Training Facility on the New River in Fleetwood, NC. Mindy Ashley the owner fell in love with the Paso Fino breed after rescuing her first horse three years ago. Then in early 2017 a trainer originally from Puerto Rico and living in Florida wanted to call NC his home. Jose Gonzalez (Chelo) started at the farm immediately. Since then boy have we grown. We have about a dozen horses at the farm that are trained and boarded and preparing for the next show season. I have to mention my wonderful husband and co-owner of Rio Nuevo , David Ashley, without him none of this would be possible.
