It's that time again...and for those who often travel with pets anywhere in the world the downriver area, we all know EVERYTHING is under construction! Please always keep your pets cool, frequently offer water, always know where the closest emergency hospital is located, double and triple check cars, sheds, barns and garages. Don't take your dog out in the heat. Don't fail your pet 😨

It's that time of year! Frequent brushing, blow-outs & and a healthy diet can help reduce shedding. Over here, pet hair is considered an accessory and I sweep/vacuum daily! 🤪😅😭

We are aware of the posts circulating regarding a dog that very sadly died after visiting a tulip festival.

We want to make it very clear that, despite what is circulating in the press and on social media, this dog did not die as a result of tulip poisoning.

As the UK’s only animal poison centre in the UK, we have managed over 1600 cases regarding tulips. Based on this evidence and our research, we can reassure the public that the clinical signs described in this case are not consistent with tulip toxicity. While tulips may cause gastrointestinal upset if ingested, severe cases are very uncommon. Other potential causes should be considered in this case.

If you’re concerned your pet may have been exposed to something harmful, please call Animal PoisonLine on 01202 509000. Veterinary professionals can call the VPIS on 020 7305 5055.

It's almost that time! With the warm weather approaching, please keep these safety tips in mind when traveling with your pet!

Most pet parents load their pets up in their vehicle without a second thought. Ensuring your pet is safely secured to be protected in the event of a crash, as well as to prevent distracted driving is essential!

All pet safety harnesses are not created equal. The Center for Pet Safety encourages pet parents to select a quality crash-tested harness to protect your pet and also protect your family if an accident occurs. CPS also warns against the use of long extension tethers and zipline style products during travel.

Pet travel harnesses come in two forms, those that only prevent distraction and those that provide actual crash protection. Choose wisely by selecting a size appropriate option from this list of CPS certified products:
