This page is not our rescue's main page, it is only a simple way for people to see what is involved in being a volunteer for EHR and part of the kennel enrichment team, while also showing off some amazingly adoptable dogs. We, as volunteers, love every second we have to spend with the goofy and fun-loving babies of Eleventh Hour Rescue's kennel. It's selfie Sunday with Left Eye and his kennel buddy Kevin! Left Eye is a 6.5-month-old, 43 lb bundle of fun who made his way to us from Athens, Georgia. And can we talk about those ears?! One stands proudly at attention while the other does its own thing, giving him the absolute cutest look. This sweet boy is affectionate, playful, cuddly, and always ready to have a good time. He loves toys, loves attention, and is just an all-around fun pup with a great personality. Whether he’s playing or snuggled up soaking in some love, Left Eye is sure to keep you smiling. At just 6.5 months old, he still has some growing to do and is ready to find a family to grow up with. Left Eye’s adoption fee is $495. Apply to adopt him at ehrdogs.org !

These are the ideals Nellie upheld as she strutted her stuff throughout Modick Park in Hopatcong for their America 250 🇺🇸 celebration yesterday. Did you see her there? We would love to hear what you thought of her in the comments below if you did!

She was adored by all, but still went back to a kennel run at the end of the day. 💔 We hope it's not for long and someone out there is just fluffing up a dog bed getting ready to welcome her to their home! Nellie is an 8-month-old, 50 lb sweetheart found as a stray in Texas. Nellie is good with kids and other dogs, and would love a family that values adventures and endless cuddles.

Mud Girl Summer 💅🏻

Henna is ALL about a nice day at the spa - getting pampered, relaxing, maybe getting a nice massage or facial too. Mud masks are supposed to be really good for the skin, right?

Unfortunately we do not have a sauna or a massage table at the kennel, but no worries- Henna decided a good ole romp in the mud was just as good! 🤣

I mean, you can’t blame a girl when it’s hot and humid and there’s a delectable puddle of nice, cool mud to roll in, can you?

We did hose her off, which she also loved. Check the comments for a video of the cutest little post-hose down pittie b***y shake!

Seriously handsome boy looking for a forever home 🏠

Blue is a happy pup who likes nothing more than to be with his people and going for walks or playing with his toys. He is a very intelligent guy who would be a wonderful match for a dog savvy owner. Blue is a little nervous at times but has come such a long way in regaining some of his confidence. He is a toy lover and can entertain himself all day with them. Blue is an 8 year-old 45 lb Terrier mix, although he is rather small for weighing that much! He would do best in a home without children as they make him the most nervous. Blue is a house trained and good on leash. He is a smart boy who knows several commands such as "Sit", "Stay", "Come", "Paw", "Leave It", "Place", and even will go look for a toy when you ask him where it is! Car rides are his favorite.

Today is Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day and we’d like to take a moment to honor the kennel dogs that we have loved and lost over the years. Though they may have not found their “forever” homes, our staff and volunteers made sure they were loved and cherished throughout their time with us. We were their home and we loved them dearly. Until we meet again! 🌈 🐾

Hero Pup Awaits his Forever Home 🏠

If you have been following our page, you may have seen the devastating parvo diagnosis last week for our pup, Urie, who sadly did not make it. We gave him every shot we could in the hopes that he would pull through, including a blood transfusion. That blood transfusion came from no other than our very own kennel pup, Caleb. He was such a good boy at the vet’s office and we are so grateful for how he helped in Urie’s time of need. Now, to show our thanks to him, we want to push Caleb’s story far and wide in an effort to get him the forever home that he deserves. Read more about him-

Meet Caleb! At 5.5 years old and 62 pounds, Caleb is a stunning husky/shepherd mix with an even more beautiful personality. This happy-go-lucky guy wakes up every day ready for fun and is always excited to see what adventure comes next.

Caleb loves to play and has plenty of energy, making him a great companion for an active family. Whether he's splashing around in the water, tossing around his favorite toys, or romping with his canine friends, Caleb is happiest when he's having fun. This handsome boy loves the water! (As you can see here)

He's great with other dogs and would love a canine companion to play with, but he'd also be perfectly happy soaking up all the attention himself. Caleb's joyful personality, playful spirit, and affectionate nature make him a dog that's impossible not to fall in love with. He also walks very nicely on the leash, making daily strolls a pleasant experience for both of you!

What breed is Prancer? Your guess is as good as ours! Whatever mix she is, one thing is certain.. she is absolutely adorable. At just 7 months old and around 37 pounds, Prancer is a fantastic size and is sure to steal your heart with her cute face and sweet personality.

Prancer is friendly, affectionate, and loves making new friends. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs, has done well with children, and is even good with cats, making her an easy fit for many families. She also walks nicely on a leash and is always happy to join you on your next adventure.

Still young enough to enjoy all the fun that comes with puppyhood, Prancer also has the loving, easygoing personality that makes her such a joy to be around. She's ready to grow up with a family who will love her forever.

Meet Nellie!! 💖

Nellie recently packed her bags and left her life in Texas behind to make a new life for herself in NJ🧳🐾 And she has made it abundantly clear that she is ready to make a change! Sweet Nellie is just 8 months old, and those 8 months could not have been easy for her😔. Alone in the world, she showed up as a stray on a kind person’s doorstep and was taken in temporarily. Unfortunately, the energy level of a young pup was not a good fit for the family, so she was placed with a rescue where she would be safe until she could make the journey to 11th Hour.

Despite having minimal guidance growing up, Nellie seems to be a very bright dog🤩 She listens, and knows some very basic commands. She’s got a beautiful coat and big soft bunny ears that make her particularly endearing☺️. But she is definitely energetic and needs a family that’s willing to give her some time to settle in. Time to realize that she doesn’t need to expend all that energy in one day, because she will have many more opportunities to walk and run and play when she is loved by a wonderful family she can call her own🩷
