This page is not our rescue's main page, it is only a simple way for people to see what is involved in being a volunteer for EHR and part of the kennel enrichment team, while also showing off some amazingly adoptable dogs. We, as volunteers, love every second we have to spend with the goofy and fun-loving babies of Eleventh Hour Rescue's kennel. Who is this adorable ray of sunshine you may be asking yourself? This is Erin! 🌼🌸

Erin is almost 1.5 years old and 49 lbs of pure fun!This lovable pup is all about living her best life. While her story began in a tough situation when she was abandoned with her six puppies, Erin has overcome it all and is now looking forward to a bright future.

Erin would do well in a home where she can shine—either as your one-and-only pup or alongside another playful pup who will tolerate her. She's full of personality and is an active pup. She will thrive in a home with a lot of stimulation, whether with a doggie playmate or her owner.

What makes Erin special? Besides being housebroken and crate-trained (sleeping soundly through the night in there), Erin is a sweet, snuggly girl who gives amazing hugs. Erin is energetic, making her a perfect match for an active family or someone who loves outdoor adventures. Erin is also smart, trainable, and a quick learner.

At about 2.5 to 3 years old, this wonderful girl has a heart overflowing with love, ready to share it with a family that will cherish her forever. Rescued in Louisiana, Opal's puppies found their homes, but she was left waiting. Now in New Jersey, she's not giving up on finding her own forever family.

It's selfie Sunday with Ollie and his kennel buddy Kevin! Meet Ollie, the lovable 7 year-old Terrier mix who’s just the right size at 36 pounds! During the Covid lockdown, he was returned to EHR and is now eagerly searching for his forever home. Ollie wasn't socialized with other dogs in his early years, so he would need gradual introductions with any potential furry siblings. He also wouldn’t mind being the king of his castle and living as your one and only pooch! A champion Fetch player, Ollie is enthusiastic about the game and never tires of chasing a ball. He can sometimes get a little protective of his food or high-value items, so he'd thrive best with dog-savvy owners. Ollie enjoys walks on the trails and is also a big fan of the agility course at our kennel. He’s crate and housetrained, rides well in the car, and hasn't met a stranger yet—everyone is his friend! Say hello to Blue Steele!🐾 Blue is a 7-year-old Terrier mix with a big heart and an even bigger love for toys! This 45 lb guy may be compact, but his personality is anything but small.

Blue is the ultimate buddy for those who love an active lifestyle. Whether it’s exploring new walking paths or playing with his toys, he's always up for fun. He’s got brains too, knowing commands like "Sit," "Stay," "Come," "Paw," "Leave It," "Place," and he can even find his toys on command—talk about a smarty paws!

Though he can be a bit shy at first, Blue has made tremendous strides in building his confidence. He thrives in a calm environment and would love a home without young children, where he can be your devoted companion. Meet Sammy—a ridiculously adorable 10-month-old mixed breed pup weighing in at a perfect 28 lbs. He’s the kind of dog who thinks every person he meets is his new best friend and every day is a chance to party (the tail-wagging kind, of course).

Sammy is:
• Great with kids
• Friendly with other dogs
• A total sweetheart with people
• Microchipped, neutered, and fully vaccinated
• Basically, joy on paws with a side of snuggles

Meet Wilbert, a handsome, short, and stocky Bulldog mix pulled into our rescue from a local inner-city shelter. This charming fellow is 7 1/2 years old and weighs a solid 75 pounds, with a personality that’s as big as he is. Wilbert gets along well with other dogs and is a friendly pup.

He’s a smart cookie who knows the sit command and comes when called. He’s also crate trained and walks nicely on a leash. Despite his size, Wilbert has a surprising amount of energy and an almost comical obsession with tennis balls! He’ll chase them down tirelessly and might just try to carry around as many as he can at once, all while showing off his big grin.

Wilbert does do best in an adult-only home where his family understands that he gets spooked if people get too close to his face, so he needs an owner who respects this boundary.

Fosters or adopters desperately needed!

Here are a few of the MANY amazing dogs residing in our kennel right now. Some are puppies. We have cat-friendly, dog-friendly, kid-friendly, and even a chicken-friendly dog. Please share them to get them OUT of our kennel and INTO homes.

🐶Munchies:
Munchies is an 8-month-old German Shepherd/Boxer mix, around 50 lbs, with the absolute cutest little booboo lip! He’s a happy, friendly pup who loves people and gets along great with other dogs.

🐶 Terry:
Terry is a gorgeous sweet 2 year old beagle mix ready for her forever home. She is the perfect size at 30lbs. Terry is INCREDIBLY sweet, and good with all people and dogs. Her tail is always wagging, and she likes to smile. While she is slightly shy, she will make a wonderful addition to any house hold.

🐶 Sammy:
Sammy is a super cute, 10-month-old mixed breed boy weighing about 28 lbs. He’s happy, friendly, and loves everyone he meets! According to his former owner, Sammy is good with everything. Dogs, cats, chickens, and kids!

🐶 Aidan:
This handsome 3-year-old black Lab mix has a wonderful personality and a heart full of love. At just 40 lbs, he’s the perfect size for any home! Aidan is friendly, great with other dogs, and loves spending time with people.

🐶 Luna:
Luna is a super sweet, friendly 7 month old Black Lab mix! She loves all people and dogs and has the best, most gentle demeanor.
